about a year ago, I thought I'd never be good enough to complete an ex, let alone an ultimate fight, and now I've completed 3. you'd be surprised what time can do for you in ffxiv!

@@imamaterasu8783 More of a time issue rather than a skill issue, between my work hours (which already make finding a static difficult) and other games I also play I basically just don't have the required time to even gear for let alone practice for an Ultimate.

Going back to the older dungeon blades, I'm still running Dainslaif, dropped in The Aery. Honestly, The Aery has some of the best dungeon weapon glams I've seen through to StB. Sure it hasn't got a glow, but you've got enough dark arts to make it shine already, plus the overall colour scheme just matches the DRK style perfectly.

Shin-zantetsuken is also a good one. It's the extra-large version of Odins blade that only exists as a hilt until it's drawn. It also has a subtle pulse to it. I like to employ a glamor with the Ifrit styled tank armor and the weapon hidden while sheathed. When I draw it, it looks like I'm reaching back, snapping a spine off of the armor and the blade grows out of it. :D

I'm a big fan of the Hive/Dead Hive greatswords. The blue turning into red when you unsheathe it just looks great.

i’ve always enjoyed the aesthetic of simple, non glowing but badass weapons on dark knight. you’ve now made me aware of Odenta but there are a few others that definitely are top tier in the non glow department and shadowbringer is definitely one of them!

2:06 As my femra mainly plays SAM, I really like using this blade appearance whenever I go DRK; each time I do it feels like my SAM is switching combat styles. It fits with how a samurai carries several blades, each one being used in a different way.

Seiryu's Sanctified Spine is one of my current favorites! The fact that it's like a whip with blades when you draw it is really rad, and I adore the glow on it. I slept on it for a long time because that glow doesn't fit the edgy aesthetic of a lot of DRK glam, but now I'm in love.

All true DRK mains know shadow bringer is the best, It was too big to be called a sword. Massive, thick, heavy, and far too rough. Indeed, it was a heap of raw iron.

I recently looked at a video about all dark knight relic weapons and I instantly fell in love with the Pyros Guillotine! Dark knight has in general a very wide variety of cool weapons in their own way

The tropaios guillotine from the pvp crystal rewards has been my favorite lately. It basically looks like an upgraded Shadowbringer.

I quite like thin swords such as Skofnung. But for bulkier swords, the Ravel Keeper and Cryptlurker Guillotines look great!

I was really hoping to see the Augmented Eleos on this list and certainly not disappointed by it being as high as it was. Since the weapon was made available, I instantly bought one from the market board and honestly don't see myself using any other DRK weapon because it just feels like the perfect weapon for them given its look, glow, and the fact that it comes from the final boss of the MSQ for the expac where they were the main job. 11/10 weapon.

I’d also like to add the Wootz Faussar as another option for a cool sword with a bit less of a glow. The circuit effect has a cool flickering blue effect that stands out from the red and black color scheme of the sword. It’s also relatively cheap on the market board.

What a wonderfully crafted video with tons of references to the stuff seen on the video, but your list is totally the opposite for me so i would rank them from your lowest to my highest oh and you were clearly motivated to make this video :P (Oh and nice that you showed the AUGMENTED weapon section, since usually people, including me just pick them up and put glam over them right away, because it would be embarrassing to be seen using a regular augmented weapon, right??)

Another simplistic Dark Knight weapon I would say would be Garuda. It is a needle. And the glow effects gives it the blade.

My favorite is Susano's Rapturous Greatsword. Aside from the lightning/water effects, the hilt also has a subtle red glow.

I’ve been using the High Allagan Guillotine (dropped from the Final Coil of Bahamut) for almost as long as I’ve played DRK. Cool shape, black with glowing red accents, and slight red tracing when it is swung… what’s not to love?

Remember that greatsword is a weapon that is used to stab, not to slash. This makes it so the best two for me are: a) Crystarium GS, which resembles a Flamberge with modern graphics (older ones are available with Adamantine GS) that is available for purchase with tomestones. and b) Susano GS, both the drop and crafted versions.

I think the padjali greatsword looks really cool. I'm not super into the drk's edgy aesthetic, and the narrow bladed glowy padjali sword opens alternative glamour possibilities in my mind

I just got 60 on DRK yesterday and immediately glamoured to the Seeing Horde Guillotine that I bought many months ago. It's such a cool weapon. I knew Odenta Kai is a odachi/nodachi, but I had no idea about its gorgeous details. Now I'm really torn. Currently my DRK is in the archfiend pvp set with the Guillotine, but the Odenta Kai is so lovely it's making me want to make an Eastern themed glam to go with it. The Seeing Horde Guillotine looks especially cool on my FemRoe (imo), because you can really see all the details so clearly. Thanks for this video and putting me in this quandary, lol. :) Edit: As for your next video, personally I'd love to see SMN/SCH. Good books for glam are SO hard to find. The books from the lvl 87 dungeon are some of the coolest for instance, but what others are there? I've found a lot of the relics to be kind of underwhelming. The Hell Hound pvp books are seriously boring compared to the DRK/PLD/WAR weapons. Actually for me, Tsukuyomi's SMN/SCH weapons might just be the most gorgeous I've seen. I'd be interested in what cool book glams you can find!

Cronus Lux has been such a major staple since I finished that grind. I can't really imagine using any other DRK weapons aside from the Odenta now its been pointed out to me. That one weapon has seen me through three expansions, even if I did drop DRK for a while. Can't wait to see more of the other videos! Warrior or Gunbreaker lists would be nice to see!

I wish they could offer us the choice to select a theme for our class skills which could go under subclass category that could be changed instantly and only effects the cosmetic of the skills. Like: instead of the dark/blood/void themed skills you are able to choose a Light/holy themed skills for DRK. Then that rank 2 weapon would fit and make sense. This game has so much potential that is not being used. I've seen class theme overhaul mods like Holy Knight for DRK etc. and they've done a bloody good job on those mods.

I'm guilty of only having leveled Dark Knight for glamour purposes only. For playstyle, I like the classic tank feel of Warriors and Paladins better, but the appearance of the Dark Knight far exceeds the other tanks. This list is pretty solid, and I appreciate the attention to some non-glowing weapons as well.

dark knight's best weapon is the shadowbringer, always felt it was a waste that they didnt make artifact weapons part of the reliv weapons quest to give it a glow.

My personnal favorites is much simpler (because I juste love a sober style, my Viera don't want to be seen as a hero, she's just an adventurer and want to be seen as this so weapons who don't look legendary are pretty on point) The Ravel Keeper Guillotine (just like many Ravel Keeper weapons and armors): just, so savage, it's litterally a sword a Berserker could have and it go very well with my glam who is: horns on the head, Pagl'than chest, Bestial claws on hands and Ravel Keeper Pants and boots so pretty wild Also I really like the Longstop Greatsword, perfect for a traveler glam with the 6.1 Tataru's made gear

2:00 this one is my personal favourite because it's clean. Also I'd like to add that Reaper is the edgy class, but Dark Knight is the emo-that-learned-to-love-itself class -- no, literally, that's what the DRK quest is, it's literally all about you tapping into your inner darkness and coming to terms with it.

all of them are cool, except edge of the demon, personally i dont like those weapons, so in my ranking i could change just that one for DRK tsukuyomi nodachi but still, is a really good list tho, DRK main here so im totally going to target a few of those weapons

Will you make a WAR video? I can't make up my mind between playing DRK or WAR. DRK has my favorite glamours, but i enjoy playing WAR more but i don't love their axes.

Honestly, with the Seeing Horde guillotine being so easy to get via the market board, and how cool it looks, I have no desire to grind for a DRK relic weapon. It truly is fantastic.
