32:40 - That's a probe adapter for a multimeter. You can use that to probe into the backside of a connector.

It's a needle probe Mike. The needle probe allows you to connect an oscilloscope or measuring probe to the contacts of the vehicle's electrical equipment. (same thing as a back probe) Back probes (also called back pinning) are an alternative method for piercing wire while still avoiding stripping or cutting wire insulation to access the conductor. The back probes needle contact tip is inserted in-between the wire insulation and the conductor to achieve instant connection.

Had the same problem with a 2005 Lexus es 330. Cool air from the right vents and warm from the left. A charge of refrigerant solved the problem. Cold air from both sides. Nothing wrong with the blend doors.

That's the reason why older cars and tech are so good when it breaks you normally just need to lubricate, clean or scrape a certain area and it works again on the other hand tech nowadays you need the whole thing new .

Cleaning your interior temperature sensors is good thing. If you have problem with temperature settings and you get hot and cold fast changes and you don't change any settings. If sensor do not get air flow thru it will give wrong settings. Most high end cars, even older ones have this kind sensors. Mercedes, BMW, Audi, Volvo.

The ODO meter, if it never gets reset when the car moves they usely not break. And the plastic is not bad on this volvos, buts your car looks to have lived a very ruff life. That dashboard lid has been of before because it wasent rightly mounted when you started. /Andreas sweden.

Another way of looking at the “disaster” is that you know have more content for your show.. We enjoy watching you overcome challenges. You prevailed. On my Ford truck I take he connector off pressure switch located near the accumulator and short the connector contacts to force the compressor clutch to engage. This helps getting the refrigerant to flow into the system.

Always good to see you Mike! Just did the 6 bulbs in my climate control unit on my 07 xc70. Volvo only blue bulbs $18 each!! Necessary as they were all gone but ugh all the same! Also got a hankering for another W215!! Just love the look of them but god help me 😭😭

Mike, that dash is very easy to access, imagine removing the whole dash for a job like that. Plastic parts disintegrating, that is what you get with older new cars.

What is your pressures with max AC, high fan? Low should be 35-40; high 200-275 (depending on how hot the ambient is and how dirty the condenser and radiator are) you may not be able to properly charge it by pressures though, if the blend doors are not working correctly. They need to be on full cold. Best to start with an empty system, under a vacuum and weigh in the specified amount. (There should be a sticker under the hood somewhere. Probably holds between 24 and 40 oz. Being a Volvo it's likely in grams)

I have a volvo and I put a (Heavy Duty Cable Type Heater Tap Valve) $13 part from ebay. I placed on one of the heater hoses, to completely stop the flow of antifreeze and It made the A/C colder. And then you just open for winter to have your heat. Size you need is 5/8'' for my year of 2012

Electric contact cleaner is either pure alcohol or acetone. You can use way way less. And applied to a Q-tip will be even less and it will clean great.

Hi Mike, I think the piece you found in the dash is a probe from a voltage tester, it looks exactly like the ones that came with mine. (You may notice I didn't mention the duck, Duh) 🤗

Mike, did you know that ducks are food animals? Just asking. My 98 S90 had a heater control valve on the firewall in the engine compartment. The vacume shuts it off when the engine is running and the heater shut off.

I’ve long insisted that Volvo used lingonberries to make all the plastics. They’re horrible. My 940 would run forever but every piece of plastic disintegrated, even the lights.
