Dianne Reeves is the originator and her articulation, perfect pitch, and breath control is incomparable. DO YOU HEAR ME! But I must say, Dessa's interpretation was impressive. I enjoyed it!

She's the #1 rival of Regine during the 90's era. Her and Regine can hit and belt out those same notes in one long breathing. But in the mid 90's she migrated to America and married there. This song was difficult to pull off, and that's the way this song was sang by Dianne Reeves if i'm not mistaken, the original artist of this song.

Wow! That vocal acrobats. Very flawless for some way. Phew!!! Trying to look for something to hold onto while watching her cover. I'mma Filipino but I didn't know her till you guys made a reaction video of her cover. I am not the type that you can easily get my thumbs up when it comes to voice thingy. There are people who could belt, yet still I am not impressed. Here in the Philippines, you can hear people who sing well and belt anywhere - wherever you are. You just walk down the streets and you'll find such great talents. It's not something new. That's why the voice competition here is that hard. The pressure is ugh! Even the children can belt. Angeline Quinto and Klarisse De Guzman admitted that they almost gave up pursuing their dreams. If you wanna be a famous singer here, you must own that wow talent. Or at least, your manager is very influential in order for you to make it to the top haha But great! Ms. Dessa. You nailed it. Regine and Dessa came out on the same era for those who didn't know. Also, Dessa was like Regine, both won singing competitions internationally. They're on the same league. Dessa just became underrated coz here in the Philippines, it's sad that people would appreciate pretty face. It's not that I am saying Regine is only a pretty face, of course she is a total package. However, Dessa deserved a fair share of success too. Dessa is like Sheryn while Regine is can be compared to Sarah Geronimo and Rachelle Ann Go. I am happy of my land, the Philippines has a lot of great talents! Singers, Dancers, Hosts, Beauty Queens, Athletes and Actors! We are very proud of them and Dessa is one of them! Our gem! ❤️

Dessa became the Front Act Queen of the Philippines simply because she's the only local talent in her time who doesn't get booed when opening the show of many foreign artists holding a concert in Manila. She never reached the superstardom of Regine,though but went on winning many international singing contests representing the Philippines

The way Gigi De Lana delivered the storytelling of this song to perfection in her own incredible version years later made Dessa looked she doesn't even care with the lyrics in her version here and just trying to impressed with her vocal acrobats.

Hello @MGN. I'm an avid follower of your music reaction videos and i do believe that you're the most genuine compared to all who does reaction videos. Genuine, honest, and spontaneous. With this I would like you to react to my favorite band. Well, i know you dont generally react to bands, but itll be an honor for me to watch you react to my favorite band. It is a Japanese band called L'Arc~en~Ciel. It's not on english but they perform incredibly well, their vocalist is extremely good. Im a filipino and i know what being GREAT singer is. Trust me on this one. Please react to Larc en ciel's live performance of Shine. There was a really good copy uploaded by private user kissmiss. Trust me this is a great band.
