for the totem encounter, the trinity ghoul is also pretty strong since it has the chaining lightning thing

For Titans, a really useful and under appreciated exotic for the Totem encounter is ACD/0 Feedback Fence. The shockwave staggers thrall, preventing them from smothering you, additionally, you get some damage reduction.

One trick: to cancel the dunking animation on zulmak and the totem, clamber onto the receptacle right when you dunk. itll still dunk, but itll remove that potentially life ending animation

if you have the pinnacle weapons, for the final boss i used mountaintop, anarchy, and recluse. i did everything that was said in the video, except before you dunk the final ball, i put an anarchy shot on one of the plates where cursed thrall spawn. after that i dunked the ball, quickly ran to the other 2 cursed thrall spawn locations, put an anarchy on each of those and then proceeded to melt the boss as much as i can. if u can do this right (and u also throw an oppressive nade and nova bomb), u can 3 phase the boss. without the nova bomb u might have to do 4 phases but its still a pretty reliable strategy

For a Hunter in the totem dunk room, you could run exactly what Datto is running, and then add Wormhusk. Lots of invis. Lots of healing.

If you’re going for a normal run, instead of the no exotics and no pinnacle rule set, I think a Monte Carlo for the totem fight on a hunter would be really good if you’re on way of the pathfinder, or the subclass that’s allows you to throw smoke to make you invisible, cos you’ll almost always have the invisibility up

1:57 Hubris is my number one enemy in this game, so I felt that.

If youre doing this on a hunter check if you have assassin's cowl, if you do then run way of a thousand cuts with incendiary grenades and it'll be a lot easier, assassin's cowl turns you invisible, heals you fully, and shields you on an assasination or melee ability kill, so you can either assasinate ads, or, you can keep stacking playing with fire by getting kills on burning enemies via throwing knife or your grenades.when stacked to X3, playing with fire gives almost imidiate melee ability, or in this case, invisibility, health, and shield. So basically as long as you keep killing ads via melee ability or assasination like every 10 seconds you have infinite health and invis

An awesome combo with the hunter is to use the "way of the thousand cuts" melee ability while wearing the assassin's coil. If you kill an enemy with it, you gain invisibility and your next melee regens in 3 seconds at tier 3.

My Sixth Coyote is one of my best pieces of gear right now, can't wait to really let it shine during the altar encounter!

IDK what your talking about with the elevator death thing in he first encounter. I've never died while riding an elevator with a sword

Well of Radiance + Phoenix Protocol is an amazing combo for the totem fight. You can drop the well around the totem, and cleaning up the adds will return nearly all your super energy, giving you another well for after fetching an orb.

I avoided that load screen bug by just jumping in mid air through the spot where it does it. Didnt turn down fps or turn on vsync etc, and it had a 100% success rate after dying to it alot

The clapping at the end was adorable

Tip for any titans: The Void orbs trigger the detonators in middle tree sentinel, and those heal you. Punch a thrall with the orb a few times and you get healed

Took me an 1:28 mins to do it, thanks for this. I went with succession sniper (1 shots the boomers) trinity ghoul, and a linear for this with particle deconstruction at the totem area. That shit was hard until i switched to trinity. Although I was the most nervous when i was clearing the 3 wizard room, because i have no sense of navigation in this room even with a map and was cautious with each jump/trap. I just follow the enemy detection on my radar to find the wizards. Anyways, thanks for the guide

The loading area death is also on console. Be careful and slowly walk into the area it seems to help with this problem. Please like to make this more aware of.

Gigz map cracks me up every time I see it.

If youre having trouble on totem, use bubble and cheese the orbs. When you dunk the first one, use scroll wheel or weapons change when it's at 90%. You'll dunk and spawn another one. Bubble helps a lot in that.

I used Bottom Tree Nightstalker with 6th Coyote and a cloak with 2xDistributiom for the Totem section. Perma invis came in clutch!

If you're doing Solo Flawless Pit of Heresy in Beyond Light, there are things to note. Firstly, enemies seem to spawn in greater numbers and in higher quantities. Bow and Sniper Rifle for the first encounter (Necropolis) is best to keep your distance. Prioritize Ogres if you see them (or know where they're at); there is one on literally every bridge. The Knight is best killed with 2 swings, followed by a block: You shouldn't take much damage this way. Holding backwards on your movement will let you block in time. The Wizard... just hit it with the long-range attack from outside the room. She deals so much damage, and I didn't find it worth walking into the room. It's really dangerous in there. If you know how to deal with the Shrieker without killing the Ogres (be sure you're holding down on whatever you're aiming with to counteract the high flinch upward), then it shouldn't be a problem. The Chamber of Suffering got way, way harder. You cannot dunk consecutive orbs and skip a wave of Thralls and Knights anymore. Really, you should just use ball duplication and get out of this one. If you don't, then prioritize those Knights and focus on staying alive. Hop on and off the plate as needed, kill the Heretical Knights for orbs, rinse, repeat. Why this one got tougher, I have no idea. There seem to be more enemies in the Harrow. More sniper Acolytes and even a Knight or two thrown in there as well. Take it slow. If you don't know where the symbols are, use your radar: If you're near enemies, you're probably going the right way. No real tips on Zulmak, other than take it slow. A sword is risky but provides the best chance to kill Zulmak very quickly. Especially The Lament, which, combined with a Well of Radiance, can keep healing yourself and survive Zulmak's attacks. But still, get those Cursed Thralls out of the way. They will kill you in your Well. Ball duplication here is not something I recommend since doing so will cause Zulmak to continue its DPS attack pattern and not let you progress. Just kill all three enemies to drop their orbs. Also: Try and dunk these orbs wherever Zulmak is not. Personally, I dunk them in counterclockwise fashion: Wizard Orb goes to Shrieker conduit, Shrieker to Knight, Knight to Wizard. That way Zulmak can't slam his sword into the ground and knock you off the map. Also, I don't know if it's just me, but... Accursed Swordbearers seem like they hurt way more now. Especially for Zulmak, having two chase you is dangerous. As for loadouts, personally, I went with: Necropolis: Bow, Sniper, Sword/Machine Gun Ogres: Sidearm, Any Special, Sword/Machine Gun Chamber of Suffering: Bow, Sniper, Any Heavy The Harrow: Bow, (Choice), Any Solar Heavy (One Thousand Voices or Xenophage are the best) Zulmak: Shotgun, Sidearm, The Lament If you have Lucent Blade or Protective Light, use one or both of them with your favored Charged with Light mod. These will probably save your life.

I found that Karnstein Armlets work well for warlocks on the totem section just melee the thralls that come after you they are a one melee kill. I know that this is no exotics but if you have them you should try them.

For hunters that do have Graviton Forfeit, if you run 5 paragon mods and go bottom tree nightstalker with gambler’s dodge you can be almost perma invis for the totems as long as you dodge near enemies

I just cant understand how people like you (Destiny Gods) process your frustration and patience over the repetition and disappointment of these higher tier activities. I have this thing where the higher my anxiety, the lower my cognitive ability,... and then,.. instant rage at a 160 out of 10. I've played Destiny regularly since 2015 and cannot even tolerate the crucible, because the constant death cycle infuriates me. The invader in Gambit ALWAYS goes for ME and makes me rage so hard i could punch a baby. I've never completed ONE raid, because i hate talking to strangers. I play 'baby' destiny compared to this madness. in fact, i refer to the game as 'shooty bang-bang' I tell you this to give you context when i say that watching this video is literally incredible to me. You're like an advanced human.

for titans in season of the risen use heart off innermost light in the suffering plate room. you will have almost constant abilitys which can heal you if you use bastion and controlled demolition

Great guide, Datto. I just wanted to recommend the Long Shadow, an adaptive frame kinetic sniper that players can get from the Vanguard pool of weapons as an alternative to Tranquility. It can roll with Rapid hit and Triple-Tap which is extremely useful for solo content. I've used it for Solo shattered throne, zero hour, and the whisper mission.

I think for the totem room you should definitely stack concussive dampener with minor/major resist mods, made it much easier for me than stacking recovery. Also if you play hunter i advise using orpheus rig on a top tree nighstalker, and try place the super at the point where the thralls spawn every time after you dunk the orb, you have time to focus at the knights on the top then.

I waited 10min for an ogre to move, it did not. Scouts honor.

My loadouts: Subclass For Entire Dungeon: Solar Titan with HoIL, healing nades for ogres and totem Disciples: Succession, Funnelweb, Half-Truths with Eager Edge Ogres: Witherhoard, Funnelweb, Eager Edge Totem: 1-2-Punch shotgun, Funnelweb, Gjallarhorn. Harrow: Same but took of HoIL for Lion Rampant Zulmak: 1-2-Punch Wastelander, Funnelweb, Lament

Which Exotic energy weapon would be the better choice? Promethian Lense or Graviton Lance? I have both at 960 attack. Running Horror Story and Crooked Fang as my kenetic and heavy weps.

For the chamber of suffering encounter I used bottom tree striker with insurmountable skullfort, izanagi's burden, recluse, and 21% delirium. I used the heavy finisher mod to get a constant stream of heavy ammo and never used recluse once. Izi is great for killing the boomer knights and heretical knights. After dunking, I put up a towering barricade so I can snipe the boomer knights without getting killed by ads. With insurmountable skullfort I could just regen health whenever I want using my melee ability, which also gives a boost to weapon damage and stability. With this setup, chamber of suffering becomes the easiest of all the encounters imo (still stressful tho). But obviously you need to do a lot of grinding to get all the weapons.

Does anyone know how much damage Celestial Nighthawk Golden Gun does to the boss? I'm wondering if it's worth sacrificing the invisibility.

Instead of having rampage on your bow you can equip one with a minor spec mod. You are still able to one shot. Though I think having rampage is better since you possibly could miss their head and get the kill when x3 (not sure). I used the spiteful fang for this but it probably works on the other legendary bows as well. Still though the totem encounter is stressful. I have yet to do with without dying, but I'm figuring it out as I have more attempts. You have to be fast when clearing ads. Way faster than I thought.

If you die in the infamous loading zone and finish the flawless, you will still get the emblem. Happened to me and I still got it. Confirmed, you can die in that particular zone and still get flawless

for the totems I ran a paragon mod on all of my armor and wormhusk on hunter to recover. i experimented with running sixth coyote for instant invis back but i ended up doing it best and most consistently with wormhusk on

Note for the first encounter: the extra adds that spawn with the Swordbearer are because of killing the Ogre that is patrolling between those rooms in the first place. After the first wave, there are none that spawn with the Swordbearer.

So how about the current Thundercoil liars handshake build, does it excel at the final boss? Haven’t gone and tried it yet

If you die at all during any encounter do you have to go to orbit and clear the cp? or can you just reload the cp if you've made it up to that point without dying?

Ok so does the finisher pocketing glitch work for the last encounter? I remember I did it and waited about a minute or two and wiped cuz I thought I failed. But then a friend told me the tower is really tall so it takes like 5 minutes,is this confirmed?

I recommend comboing Taking Charge, Protective Light, Supercharged, and Stacks on Stacks. Picking up an orb of light grants charged with light x2 (or x4 if you pick up 2 orbs). When you lose your shields you gain SUBSTANTIAL damage reduction for 9 seconds with 2 stacks or 15 seconds with 4. Seriously this mod combo is a lifesaver in any difficult PVE activity.

To alter what you said at 4:18 , if you jump through the loading zone you will not die even if you leave your fps uncapped or capped higher than 30 fps.

If you have opulence mods like the hive barrier and hive armaments, it makes totem easier as grenade kills grant heavy and you get 20% damage resist from all hive. Just wait for thrall and drop a grenade to basically replenish all of your heavy.

Do you have to dunk an orb at each door? What happens if you put more than one orb at the same door?
