This was the first song that played for me in orbit when I booted up the game and I instantly was filled with satisfaction. So good.

That moment at the start of The Witch Queen where you have to choose between Classic Mode or Legendary Mode...it was purely amazing...it felt like that moment in d1 when you pick your class for the first time.

This orbit theme is so drastically different from others. There's a melancholy of Savathun's and her siblings' past, knowing they have been deceived just to be slaves of Darkness. Beyond Light's orbit theme was my favourite and I wondered if Witch Queen's could top it, and they did it.

When it starts to pick up at 1:14 I get the chills. Damn this track is perfect at 4am.

Hearing this music for the first time in orbit with Savathun’s Throne World behind me, made me remember all the lore with Savathun and her siblings. They spent centuries killing entire civilisations just so their worms wouldn’t kill them, plus in the name of their religion, but they never realised that to the darkness, they are nothing more than slaves and will eventually be cast aside in the name of the Final Shape. For the first time in eight years, I felt sympathy towards the Hive. Well done Bungie, this DLC is one of your greatest.

I absolutely love this track. So glad that it's the orbit theme. You can definitely feel the loss of innocence and sorrow. The Hive are victims, just as we are. The Light and Darkness are even more horrible than we imagined.

This is one of the best songs of Destiny. Love it.

I came back to destiny after a 3 year hiatus. This song hooked me back in. It feels so melancholic and heartfelt. The piano is amazing.

I could sit in orbit for hours listening to this, Athanasia and View from Orbit. To me these 'down-time' pieces are reflective of how eerie and fleeting these moments of peace must feel to our Guardian in this chaotic world. They are truly understated masterpieces.

I love this track! A great little narrative easter egg in this track is that the piano is accompanied by a subtle synth that doubles the melody. The Traveler- and thus the Light are represented by these more beautiful and complex classical piano pieces, while the Darkness is always accompanied by these weird synth riffs that are simpler and shorter. Just like in-game, where the the Light (beauty) is represented by the Bomb Logic (complexity) and the Dark (typically seen as 'evil') is represented by the Sword Logic (simplicity). The fact that it's the same melody suggests that the Light and the Dark are one and the same-- neutral forces. Also, seeing as the synth is a bit more subdued, it stands to reason that this represents how the nature of the Light is known (or we think it is at least) whilst the nature of the Darkness is less clear to us. Very, very cool stuff and perfectly illustrated in this piece.

Hearing this song while waiting in orbit makes me want to just stay in orbit to listen to the song more. I had moments in a fireteam where it would play then I would be dragged somewhere and it would fade out

Every time I log in or go to orbit, this song plays first. And I don't mind. I will stop matchmaking or close out any menus just to listen to it and watch my ship float above whatever location I happen to be at (Savathun's Throne World is the best, IMO). Only after it's over will I proceed with whatever I was doing. Unless Athanasia plays behind it, which it's done quite often lately. Then I wait again. It's as if Bungie knows what my favorite tracks are and has lined them up for me. I don't know what it is about this track. It so beautiful and hauntingly sad at the same time. After completing the campaign, I honestly start feeling some kind of way for the Hive. Sadness at how they were tricked by the Witness, guilt for all the killing they and us have done, and deep regret at the possibility that we may never be able to help them recover/heal from all of it. I truly do feel sorry for the Hive, and that's something I NEVER thought I'd say. Bungie is good at their storytelling, because I was the same way with the Cabal until I found out about Caiatl evacuating after Xivu Arath's invasion. Speaking of which, with Oryx and Savathun gone, maybe there's a glimmer of hope that we can get her to see the truth before the entire Hive race is wiped out? I wouldn't mind an alliance of my Guardian, Eliksni, Cabal, (defector?) Vex, and Hive curbstomping the Witness.

The melancholic feeling in this song is incredible. We've defeated Savathûn, but at what cost? She was trying to break away from the Witness just like us, and now it has no opposition aside from humanity and our unstable allies. We may have persevered, but we only aided in the pursuit of the final shape.

This reminds me of Light of the Seven from Game of Thrones, which also kicked so much ass.
