I remember the first section back in d1 in open world, whenever i see a raid team trying to open the door i usually come in and help out. It was nice to be able to do that.

The LFG in the app or on the website is the way to go for all of us friendless bastards, however, LFG is hell, because everyone is super serious, and nobody wants to or has the patience to deal with people who need to have stuff explained, or if the group wipes more than 3 times, you can guarantee someone if not more than 1 person, will inevitably just leave without saying anything. I've done many different things with LFG, and it's almost always the same deal. On the rare occasion you get the relaxed, chill dude who has done it 100 times and is genuinely fun to talk to.

Thank you for taking the time to make these. You put out so much great content and it's honestly a massive help for me. Thanks again for all of your time and effort. How would so many of us even know what to do in the Destiny universe without people like you guiding us through it all. What blows my mind is how you figure this stuff out???? Going in blindly would take you so many hours to figure out?? Thank again for all that you do. I'd love more info on weapon load out tips for different parts of Destiny. As they sunset weapons and add new ones, sometimes its a challenge to know what exactly to use. And.... I find that there isn't a major difference between exotics and legendary weapons in terms of usability. Do you agree? Much appreciation and respect for your work......

I hate that crap, you need wayyyyy too much team co ordination and is near impossible to teach someone who doesn’t know already while keeping the rest of the fire team patient and staying or stuff like that. Raids are annoying and I can’t imagine people actually grinding 50 clears for the raid weapons. I’ve played since launch and never earned a single raid weapon, but I have a dozen or so clears. Just not fun unless you have other no life friends who are up to level and have the insane time investment to raid.

For less coordinated teams for oracles we found it easier to have 3 on left 3 on right. As the oracles spawn have everyone stand next to an oracle in order from 1-6. Then each person only has to remember what number they are in order and you don’t have to think about “l3, l1, r3, mid, etc”. For round seven obviously after your team kills six in order the last one remaining is last.

A tip: in case everyone gets detained at the atheon damage part, one person just needs to grab the relic and use the slam attack which will take the detainment off of everyone. At least this used to work on D1

For the Atheon fight there are dedicated spawn points for the oracles. It's 3 up by the spawn gate and 3 back by the portals. It just seems really chaotic and random with all the supplicants around you.

An easy strat for oracles: have everyone have designated oracles. Since there are 7, one person will need to have 2. Make sure everyone stays near the oracle to make sure they dont miss it. When you see your oracle pop up, you say the number in the sequence. Example: the oracles start the sequence, the first one spawns and the person who is responsible for it calls out 1. Then the second oracle, the next person says 2... the reason why you shouldnt jave to call out the names is that its useless. No one is going to worry about your oracle, except for you, so the only piece of info you have to give is when you saw yours so that the next person knows when their oracle will have to die and in what order. Of everyone does this, it will be and easy clear. This is what i used in day 1 and it was a literal joke of an encounter. So basically the chat is not necessary at all on pc.

I actually have yet to make my first raid experience, so I obviously can't exactly speak from personal knowledge here. But watching this video, I also just thought to myself "why don't we just assign oracle spawns to people, and they call out whenever theirs comes up, that removes a lot of the unneccessary information you'd otherwise have to process first". But hey, whatever works, as long as people can find a good strategy for themselves and get through the encounters

@@greyman7605 no, you could. You needed gallerhorn to do it, but it could be done. And on that note, wasn't raze lighter generally better DPS than dark drinker? I only remember dark drinker getting better than raze lighter after it was discovered it cpuld hit half of Aksis's crits in one heavy attack, boosting its damage up a lot. Although I might be misremembering.

I just wanna say, Heir Apparent is really good for defending confluxes in the gatekeeper encounter and as far as I’ve seen you can head glitch the right portal by sitting just below the lip of the stairs

They upped the difficulty just by adding the cyclopses at the entrance. They are mean aggros;-; my group of 4 had trouble getting in, but 3 of us were under-leveled

Also for the jumping puzzle. With Titans you can skip majority of the platforming with their base jump strafe. You get 3 taps so just time accordingly.

Took us newbs some time but once you have one person killing the Praetorian it's easy. We also ignored the cyclops. Just one guy sitting on the plate killing ads and one hunter with inv going for the Praetorian with a sword.

Ngl I geared up my Hunter and watched this video to prep myself for my first VOG raid, but now after seeing all these new mechanics I'm not so enthusiastic about doing it now.

Same I thought I'd get a good grasp watching this, but yesterday I got a fireteam together so me and my pal can do our first ever raid. Took 4 hours to get at Atheon checkpoint, and then the team had to leave. We got as close as 1/3rd health on Atheon before calling it a night. It's seriously tough and requires lots of call outs, designating ad clear, etc. But boy is it fun. Got a real rush playing

Beat challenge mode after 16 hours, most of the time was spent figuring it out and fucking around but overall, was a fun time and great re-release. Felt pretty good checking Twitter seeing people complain how hard opening the door was when my team was struggling with Templar

so fun just did my first runthrough of it with 3 experienced, 1 familiar, and two new including me..... they said that we did really well... one phased templar and only got stuck on atheon for like 6 or 7 wipes everything else we did on 1st or second try

On theTemplar step, you forgot to specify that even though you block his teleorts, oracle will still appear after a certain amount of time. (Usually on a 3rd consecutive attempt to block)

For the conflux defense with the imune minotaurs....2xWarlocks with wells, chromarush+prometheusLens+stickygrenades&chain reaction, each warlock takes a room and prometheus will bypass the minotaur shield, the rest it just survival mode, prometheus will wipe the yellow chicken and also cancel it's plunge, finally a good use for trace rifles

I never played D1 but i right now i love this encounter. It's fun to shoot and it needs a good amount of communication. You have to act as a team and that's what Destiny is about. Having a nice time with your team and shoot things. Well done Bungie. Well done.

What me and my group settled on for oracles was just there were 2-3 people dedicated to clearing adds and then everyone else was watching oracles, we would just count up in our heads with the noises and shoot them when it was our turn which we figured out from the little text message thing that pops up when an oracle gets destroyed.

I’m an older gamer and I want to do this raid so bad to get the Fatebringer. I’m just returning after 3 years away and I’m tired of the solo grind. It’s hard trying to find a team that’s patient and willing to teach the new mechanics. I’ll get it done sooner or later!

Kinda sucks to see them go back from what they did for DSC. I liked them making day 1's more achievable. Not to mention that the game is way too buggy to be trying to be the "Dark Souls" of the shooter genre.

Nah lfg are awful, they might seem nice at first but if you mess up once you get yelled at like you're a damn trash can even if you're just a beginner. At least that's what happened for me unfortunatly :(

If you can hold yourself in the middle of the left side, right side, or middle when needing to memorize oracles for the Templar section, you can hear where they spawn. At least that's what we were able to do, back in D1, if you couldn't keep up. I wasn't able to watch any of the race, because of work, but I'm actually happy they didn't change too much from D1. Also that new "secret" chest, was normally where a lot of us jumped around while waiting for the slowpokes that took forever on the ledge so it's funny that they put it there.
