. This is the fastest way to build up lots of rare engrams and occasionally a Legendary engram. Legendary engrams can turn into exotic gear. This is in a cave on earth in Skyward. To effectively do this method, you will either need someone else in your fireteam or have other people already there farming. It can be done solo, but it's much more frustrating.

I imagine they will patch this. I sat down beside 2 others doing all the work and went to take a shit, I then went to the shop to get a bottle of Coke, I saw a friend on the way back from the shop and had a little chat, then I went and took a shower. About 2 hours has passed by the time I returned. 3 legendaries and about 10 blues and a crap ton of greens. (Of course the legendary engrams turned out as blues because fuck logic).

I do this with my fireteam, another little tip is two of you stay shooting and the third member goes to activate the green mission beacon right beside where you stand... Then that person goes off to do the mission which is usually kill and collect or scout an area, all the fireteam get the rep and rewards for the mission and the third member still gets engrams. Plus the public event will kick in after a few of the missions so there's more rewards. And use the black wool to reap in more glimmer from the Hive :)

I happened to join other Guardians and farm more Emgrams, but somehow MORE Hive came out on the left side of the door. They came out at us over and over and over nonstop for like few minutes or more! Did that happen rarely?

In my experience the moon farming actually yielded more engrams and it's more enjoyable too. Mowing down thrall is a blast!

It is now patched. They spawn every 40 seconds now while still dropping the same amount of engrams

The Ishtar commons in Ishtar academy is a good place to grind for engrams

Either they will make it so you have to kill something else somewhere else before you can get loot, or they will make it extremely rare to get drops from these. Or they will not allow you to get loot from low level stuff at all which would make the most sense.

I tried this out today, but I barely got any engrams in less that an hour. I got about only 3 rare engrams and that's it. There was me, 2 friends, and 1 other dude. I have previously farmed here before, but I'm wondering, HOW DO YOU GET SO MANY ENGRAMS IN AN HOUR?!?!?!? 21 RARE??!?!?!

If you use every bit of your ammo it will automatically reload for some reason after like 20 secs. No shit try it. Instead of running up there to the cave all the time you can just wait for your ammo to reload by itself

just do the daily heroic strike I have confirmed that if you do it the first day you get a blue engram but the second time you get a legendary I have gotten 3 legendary endgame from this so you should try it

You only get legendary if you're level 20 +, and the higher your level the greater the drops, but the drops are random.

I'm Lv22 and i get NOTHING but blue and crap shit from this cave :@ it sucks that "being a high level the drops are increased".... it doesn't make any fucking sense! if you are a HIGH level, means that you don't need fucking legendaries anymore... whereas being Lv20-25 you DO need them but you get shit! how am i supposed to gear up? by doing 100 crucibles, farming 200 hours like an asian without sleeping... come on. Im so stucked in this game it freaks me out.

I've spent a couple of hours here and have never got a Legendary drop, always blue & greens. I did however get a purple drop from the Fallen that hang around on the right side of this area when randomly shooting them to break up the monotony. I cashed it in to the Cryptarch and it gave me a blue item anyways.... :(

even getting blue levels up the cryptarch and gives you the chance of getting other new stuff from the postmaster also there is a lot of spinmetal about the skywatch area needed to upgrade legendary gear + the public events can get you extra rewards i have 2 legendary bits of gear and one exotic - the exotic came from a public event reward which yielded a legendary engram and the two other bits of kit were from blue engrams - i've had a legendary engram drop in the field twice for me - unfortunately they were strange coins and ascendent shards and not legendary gear - ah well but in general the method is pretty effective and the area in general is useful (complete easy missions for vanguard rep - while farming, spinmetal, warsat, complete kill related bounties and farming itself)

EMD Videos Yea lol true story :D I've got a few legendary engrams but none turned to something good, but i got one rare that turned out to be a legendary machine gun... Now i'm Lv24 with all upgraded rare items. So i think i will have more chance to get legendary now than when i was 20. About the materials and cryptograhy, hell yeah, i'm almost Lv5 at crypto and have got tones of materials already, like 90+ Sapphire Wire and 140+ weapon parts... still after using a lot of it to upgrade all my parts. I will keep the hard work, unfortunately, finished the last story in Lv24 yesterday with a few friends but since i didn't finish any Queen bounty, it didn't drop the Legendary helmet for me T_T

ablestmage There respawn rate is now every minute, instead of how it was every other second. Meaning once you clear a wave you have to wait one full minute to do it again. Not a huge deal breaker if you are determined, but i think the other method may be slightly faster now.

There is one on earth near the area where you spawn for the strike mission crawler and the eventually the eyeball. I got one purple in about 20 minutes and it turned into a exotic Shotgun as primary weapon slot.

got a legendary from the rare and as it was my first he had to fuck me over and give me a titan instead of a hunter gauntlet. I think the cryptard is going to be good if we can trade items in game
