this was celine dion's show.. at the backstage showcase, dion ASKED destinys child to go all out and not hold back. Celine throughout her career was never afraid to hold back. Beyonce’s vocals are so underrated it’s insane how she’s able to hit a high soprano note and can also hit low notes like a full mezzo with power and the control she has over her voice , her beautiful riffs/runs and melisma, she literally has the best technique in the game. She really taught me how to sing without knowing it and I’m pretty sure a lot of people feel that same way too and I’m so glad that no matter how sexy you find this woman😂 you never miss to highlight her talent ❤ that’s why I’m always excited and enjoy your videos thank you

Apart from Kelly and Beyonce, and unlike the other members of Destiny's Child who have only been dancers and backing singers in the group, I'm very happy that Michelle Williams has had solo parts, verses to sing in Destiny's Child's official songs and live concerts, which is why I loved, and still love, Destiny's Child (DC3), Michelle wasn't just a dancer and backing singer in the group... As Beyonce said, in Destiny's Child (DC3), “everyone can sing lead”, it's no longer just Beyoncé or occasionally Kelly who monopolize, solo parts, verses to sing, even Michelle can lead and I really like this group spirit, this team spirit ...

Kelly does sing a few seconds more on the studio version of this song. It looks like they chopped her verse in half and gave her other part to Celine since she was performing with them. They basically shared Kelly's verse.

Beyoncé also took Kelly's verses in the start, and then Michelle took some of Kelly's parts as well, Kelly sings *way* more in the original. I'll never understand why they chose to distribute the lines like that.

For once, Beyonce and Kelly didn't monopolize the solo parts to sing ... LaTavia Roberson and LeToya Luckett, two former founding members of Destiny's Child, have never had the chance to express their talents in the true sense of the word; they've hardly ever had verses or solo parts to sing in the official songs and live concerts of Destiny's Child (DC4) - it's as if they were condemned to remain the group's dancers and backing singers ...

Wow what a moment ! I’m extremely proud of Beyoncé watching this. She was only 20 years old, sharing the stage and her song with the Legendary vocalist Celine Dion at her PRIME and she still stood out ! Some people says that she was over singing but NO. This is exactly how the song Emotion goes and was arranged and they did rehearsed it. Celine Dion was very supportive and wanted Beyoncé to really SANG ! Just like Celine did with Aretha at the Divas special Vh1.

DC started November 1997 when Beyoncé was 15. 2002 she was only 20 and this was a year before “Crazy In Love” and yes this was Survivor era when they all went solo.

Michelle Williams has a very Gospel voice, her voice is typically adapted to Gospel and basically, if I'm not mistaken, before joining Destiny's Child, she was a Gospel singer ... I think, in my humble opinion, that Michelle could also sing Jazz, her voice could also adapt very well to Jazz music in addition to Gospel ...

Always remember that it was a Celine tv special for Celine and Celine invited destiny’s child to sing in her special so her role in this was to make them shine in Celine was serving more as a backup singer that’s all Celine could certainly out sang them all including Beyoncé but Celine is class personified she did let them shine and that’s ok

I have a vague memory of Kelly being sick here, which is why her solo was likely cut short & Beyonce had to compensate. Funny enough, the opposite happened in their Live in Rotterdam concert. Beyonce was sick there and so Kelly had to take the ending adlib/high note that Beyonce does here and on the record.
