“Get On the Bus” by Destiny’s Child
Listen to Destiny’s Child: DestinysChild.lnk.to/listenYD
With a string of hits ranging from the self-reliant “Bills, Bills, Bills” to the jelly-celebrating “Bootylicious,” Destiny’s Child brought a fiercely strong brand of femininity to the pop charts-and made stars out of key members Michelle Williams, Kelly Rowland and Beyoncé Knowles.

Lyrics:
Uh uh
Hey baby how you
Why yo face lookin' all sad and blue
Don't you like the Navigator truck that I brought you
Why you trying to act a fool
Don't try to say you seen me talking to your girlfriends
Ask Tonya and Shirl then
Gimme a place and time when
Don't try to accuse me of silly stuff that I'm doing on the streets
You gotta remember, without you, there's no me
I'm just an average man
Tryin' to make it in this cold world
Tell me baby, why you trippin', girl
I don't want to fuss with you
So I'm gonna sit out on the couch
Don't try to talk to me
'cause boy I am blocking you out
I don't want to hear a thing
Nothing you got to say
You should think twice
About the way you've been talking to me
Pack yo bags
Get on the bus
Ain't got no time (for)
Talkin' all yo stuff
Need to pack my stuff
Since this's what you want
I don't really care
There's no more
Go catch a cab or
Get on the bus
I ain't got no time for
You talkin' all that junk
Better get my stuff
Since this is what you want
I don't really care
I ain't got no words for you
So you can stop callin' my friends
Tellin' them it wasn't your fault
And why I ain't lettin' you in
Too many times before
I let you back in my life
But this is a new day
And this won't go down tonight
Pack yo bags
Get on the bus
Ain't got no time (for)
Talkin' all yo stuff
Need to pack my stuff
Since this's what you want
I don't really care
There's no more
Go catch a cab or
Get on the bus
I ain't got no time for
You talkin' all that junk
Better get my stuff
Since this is what you want
I don't really care
Mm, mm (da-da-duh-da-da)
Mm, mm (who)
Mm, mm
Mm, mm {say what}
Introduce you to Dolce and Gervana
Advance you from dirt bikes to Hondas
Took you from that terrible stress
Now you telling me that I am a bother
What kind of mess is that
To tell a man who put you on his team
That's just like killing a dream
(No no baby) That's how it seems
I worked hard to build up what I had for you
I pray to God, that there's not another man between me and you
So just tell me
There's no need to lie for
While you sleepin' with your eyes closed
Do you want to talk, aight yo
Pack yo bags
Get on the bus
Ain't got no time (for)
Talkin' all yo stuff
Need to pack my stuff
Since this's what you want
I don't really care
There's no more
Go catch a cab or
Get on the bus
I ain't got no time for
You talkin' all that junk
Better get my stuff
Since this is what you want
I don't really care
Pack yo bags
Get on the bus
Ain't got no time (for)
Talkin' all yo stuff
Need to pack my stuff
Since this's what you want
I don't really care
There's no more
Go catch a cab or
Get on the bus
I ain't got no time for
You talkin' all that junk
Better get my stuff
Since this is what you want
I don't really care

#FunFact this song was not only produced by Timbaland, but featured writing credit, co-production and a demo reference guide by Missy Elliott. This song's video also featured choreographic assistance from Aaliyah. To know the Dream Team (Miss, Timbo & Babygirl) all contributed to this unsung masterpiece is insane! Truly hidden magic.

I really need to say that the originals had amazing stage presence, confidence and you could tell they all had the training & experience to back it up. I know they continued as a trio but this shows that you can’t do shortcuts with hard work like these original members did. They would have been such a cohesive and synchronised group if they had stayed together 😔.

Yeahhhh who knows Matthew Beyonce's dad sounded pretty cut throat there has been a lot of stories coming out about what actually happened with the group during the time they were swapping out members every other day as much as I love DC I always suspected the group was engineered by Beyonce's parents as a stepping stone to catapult her into superstardom I even remember a running joke that people used to call DC Beyonce and the back up dancers 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 it was no shade but that's what it looked like Beyonce was always front and center she also got the most attention but to her credit you want to talk star quality she definitely has it anytime she's on stage she's like hypnotic

Some of you younger folk don't understand. When this group first came out, all four members were noticeable. It wasn't centered around Beyonce. They were ALL appealing. They all had a voice even in interviews. The writings on the wall will always be my favorite LP (Kandi Burruss..dope production). No diss to Michelle or Farrah but it all changed when D3 emerged. To be quite frank the men used to go crazy for Latavia. She was pretty, had a sassy personality, and had a cute shape.

Danaé Lauren Tolbert ... I try to get you but, I remember Beyoncé being all bossy in the interviews, giving them bad look when they talked... besides Beyoncé was the only one singing the solos and Kelly in some songs, LeToya had not even a single solo on both albums, even the harmonies from some song where made by Beyoncé alone, Jumpin Jumpin for example. When Michelle came in DC turned from a single lead singer vocal group to an all members singing vocal group, all the members had solos in all the song, all of them sang addlibs. Michelle was hilarious in the interviews. Did you left DC before Survivor? That would be the only explanation.

Kelly Rowland was so cute with her short hair, she was the only member of Destiny's Child (DC4) who hardly ever changed her hairstyle, and it wasn't until the early 2001s that Kelly began to change her hair style, her look, as a member of the group ... Short hair was Kelly's signature look ...

@Orion Jean No doubt he is still a hit producer, but creatively his music from the 90s to the mid-2000s was on a completely different level. Back then he (and Missy) were producing really avant garde and 'futuristic' stuff. But after 2006 he seemed to had lost his spark. There's nothing particularly unique about him today.

Timbaland & Missy snapped on the beat! God dayummm! Love it!
@eman0828
@eman0828 5 жыл бұрын
Missy doesn't make beats. She's credited as Writer for the Lyrics and Timbo is credited as Writer for making the Beat and another credit as Producer for Producing the entire Master Recording. Beat Makers and Lyricist are considered Songwriters as they are Co-Writing a song that are entitled to Songwriting and Publishing royalties. Timbaland is both a traditional Record Producer and a Songwriter as he's wearing two hats. Missy Elliott is more of a Lyricist, Vocal Producer and Artist. She's credited as Co-Producer for the song Mya - My Love is like Wo as the Vocal Producer, Writer for the Lyrics and Background Vocals. Charles Berea and Kenneth Bereal made the Beat as they are credited as Writers and also Co-produced the entire song as Producer. Beat Makers make beats that get Co-Writing credits, Producer's produce entire songs that get Producer credits. That's the difference between a beat maker and a Producer.
