Destiny Taken King: How to Solo "Lost to Light" Daily Heroic for Black Spindle

Күн бұрынWhether you need Black Spindle or are just looking for an interesting challenge, the journey to get Black Spindle from Lost to Light is a great way to test your skills. In today's video, I'll go over some strategies to make soloing (or grouping) the mission easier.
Turns out Sunbreaker is really good for this. My build: Incendiary Grenade, Increased Control, Forgemaster, Melting Point, Explosive Pyre(?), Cauterize.
My loadout: Smite of Merain w/ Life Support, Eirene RR4, Raze-Lighter

I seen a video where sunbreaker titans can use cauterize and the perk that recharges their melee on a kill. This way, you can just keep punching psions to get rid of them and regen health

Couldn't do it. First time I tried it, I was with a friend. 290 Hunter and 290 Warlock. We killed the boss, but failed to kill the remaining adds in time. Today I tried it a couple of times with a 310 Sunbreaker. Got to the last wave of adds during the boss fight using your method and I ran out of time :( Maybe next time.

What's really obnoxious about this mission is that if the timer runs out, you get kicked to orbit and have to do the entire build up to it again.

You should try to solo this as a hunter. It is about 99.8% impossible only because, until the December update, you have 3 golden gun shots and at max intellect build, is 4:20 until your next super without killing anything. I have been attempting this every day since it was released as a daily. Nightstalker is not a viable choice only because you need to kill stuff, not tether and hope. I was closer using Gunslinger, but if you have a team of 3 Hunters, 2 must be gunslinger and the third must be a nightstalker.

+Christopher C Bladedancer isnt that great in PvE anymore. there are some instances where it might be ok, but overall it isnt popular/good. the key is to kill as fast as possible without taking too much damage and dying. Also, there are so few enemies with an arc shield that it is hopeless to get in close even with the max armor build for bladedancer.

Christopher C I also just tried to re-do Crota last night, and it was harder to solo now than it was back in year one. I am on the Xbox One version of Destiny. I am on the trackers always letting people know that I am here helping out anyone with daily/nightfall/story missions/raids. I was helping a new player to destiny, and he wanted to do Crota's End raid for the first time. None of my tactics from year one worked anymore. For whatever reason, that is a lot harder to solo now than it was back then. Bladedancer did not help at all. Nightstalker was the only option for trying to solo it.

crota's end isn't any harder to solo. The pit and bridge can be solo'd by any class. Ghorn can still be used for deathsinger. Replace Ghorn with raze lighter for crota.

The only thing I can think of that can take out a lot of enemies is the Arc Blade but that puts you in a position of constant attack. I hate playing as a Hunter sometimes smh

Interesting story: I finally got the black spindle the other day in a sort of unusual way. I had almost solo'd it before, but figured it would be less stressful to just lfg. So that's what I did. I went on my stormcaller, found two *completely* *random* people and got it done with over a minute to spare. What's weird is that we had no strategy, and weren't even in a party. Maybe they're born with it, maybe it was the exotic swords.

Yeah I fought with people with how to do this saying focus blight and them saying kill boss. Finally got a group that would listen to the whole blight method and it was super easy. Anyhow. Good tips. Blights bros that's what u gotta kill for the win

I find it funny that the tip for black spindle was “kill blights as fast as possible” and whisper in d2 is “ignore the blights, they don’t matter”

it was impressive, significantly easier now with higher light levels. At this point most skilled players can do it fairly easily

LuL. Just use a well of radiance or nova warp and you're good. (I also have solo'd Riven. If you couldn't tell. Just use G-horn.)

I remember getting Black Spindle. We didn't make the first room well (8:30 on timer left) and took us forever to do the next 2 rooms. When we got to the boss room, we did the strategy I told them about. We had about 6 Minutes left. The every second that counted down, my heart sped up a beat. Every minute passed without much DPS was another beat my heart skipped. We had been trying forever. 1 Minute left, wave 4 just begginning. I popped Tether, my friends popper their super. Enemies were gone in seconds. 30 Seconds left. I pulled out my Heavy, so did they. The boss had 25% health left. Glacka Glacka Glacka! The sound of heavy fire filled the room, shouts of panicked players fighting... 3... 2...... He died. Cheers went up from us! Now I have a Black Spindle AND a Vienna singer. Whats your story?

Wow, I was doing it the hard way. I used Defender Titan, put a bubble around the boss, and spammed him with raze lighter until he died. Then, I sniped all the blights, killed all the majors, and finally killed all the psions.

Daily heroic not longer necessary. You can do this at anytime but make sure you choose hard mode when choosing the mission. Already done this last week twice!

Everyone, This video was made before the April Update. It's not so easy post April Update due to all the subclass nerfs Bungie did, what with reducing all the super durations and stuff. I know because I was able to solo pretty easily pre april update. But now Stormcaller's super is just too short.

Me and my friend's went out to get this the other day and it took 3 tries but on the last one, we completed it with more than 2 minutes left. Just work until you figure something out that works. My advice, use dragons breath on blights.

Congrats, you soloed it with hardmode raid gear. Now solo it with all 240 light level gear.

Night stalker is a brilliant class if you aren't soloing as it gives tons of orbs and makes it so you don't get shot by those enemies in the last room, almost boosting survivability in that sense

if you have The Dark Drinker (Void Exotic Sword) the R2 spinning attack is excellent for crowd control, although it exposes you more to danger.

OK no one is probably going to respond but a fully upgraded dreadfang is definitely a other good heavy weapon. against the tethered boss, doing r1, r2 repetitively and jumping will mow him down pretty good but if you have two people doing that it will be redicoulosy better

Sunbreaker + Bad Juju + A good Sniper + A good Solar Rocket Launcher.

Hey, fellow warlocks if you use obsidian mind + bad juju primary and high intellect, you can get your super WAY quicker than you could ever imagine. Nova Bombs may not be the best in this one mission, but trust me, if you use scatter in a group of a million adds you'll have it back up IMMEDIATELY after.

I tried so hard, and got so far, but in the end I didn't get a Spindle. I'm just not MLG enough to beat the boss before time runs out. Ah, well--always next time. Thanks for the guide!

a good strat is getting 2 nightstalkers and a bubble titan 3 exotic swords and as soon as you get in the final room destroy the boss first. when my 2 friends and i did this we beat it first try once we tried this strat and had over 5 minutes left

doing that solo is amazing I still haven't got the black spindle have not found the right fireteam guess I will just have to try it by myself

raze lighter was the ONLY reason i managed to do this. it burns the armored ads so quickly
