I love this strat. After seeing everyone struggle with the boss, it's nice to see how it can be easily be broken.

Holy moly this superboss was insane. I somehow managed to beat it without any "Danger Mario" strats or anything special like that. I had 15 Life Mushrooms (used up about 14 of them). I was almost dead and somehow managed to get that last Superguard I needed in order to do one last attack to finish it off one and for all. And this was BEFORE the end of the game (you unlock this superboss before the end of the game. I believe it involves completing a specific Trouble in the Trouble Center and progressing the story a bit afterwards and then wait for an e-mail to appear, telling you that you've unlocked the fight.). I think I was level 22 at the time and haven't fully upgraded my Partners at the time. If you want to beat this superboss, you HAVE to be extremely lucky enough to Superguard any of its attacks in order to lower its defense to 0 so that you can be able to hurt it (The Power Lift Special Star move is your best friend here. Art Attack is also recommended even though I've only used it one time close to the end of the fight myself but it does help to desperately whittle down the last of its health as much as possible.), especially when it does it's "Defense" stance with its arms raised up after lowering its health to a certain extent later in the fight. If it does a "Sidestep" stance, don't use Jump attacks on it. If it does a "Jumping up and down" stance, don't use Hammer attacks and Partner moves from the side. Good luck to anyone else doing this fight.

I just got done with my casual playthrough with no idea about just how nutty Peril strats were, this is insanely cool lol

Man, your strats are brilliant. I just fought him completely blind for the first time last night (late I know lol) and I was able to beat him on my second attempt, which I was not expecting. What a great battle!

I tried something similar with 11 Battle Rush and 5 Max HP but missed the power bounce to early so he got into second phase. Bobbery consumed one Life Mushroom until I finally git the Superguard and then one jump was the ko.

I kinda wish he stayed with 6 def through the whole fight it encourages cool strategies and finally gave a boss that really felt as strong as mid-lategame mario

all i do to easily cheese this boss as a casual is to put mario in the front with a lot of defensive badges equipped plus the defense from a power lift. I have two charge Ps equipped and I have Yoshi charge each turn while mario takes the weak initial hits from Mush’s first stage, then after enough charges to Yoshi do a ground pound and literally anyone can beat this boss super easily without any peril strats or super guards lol

I tried this boss after chapter 5. And while i wasnt doing much damage to him, i was holding out a decent amount. I did get a superguard off and noticed his defense dropped....but it wasnt enough. I lost lol. Decided id come back after i beat the main story. Love this remake so much, only a few minor nitpicks that dont change my opinion on the game.

That's pretty much how I beat him lol, except I struggled a lot to superguard him (also didn't use danger strat but still had a good amount of attack)

I beat him after chapter four (my first time playing the game) By just using power lift and charge. Once I hit charge 18 I just went for it. He does not have enough health for that much damage from a power bounce.

Well, that was much easier than the strat I used. I kept charging with Goombella, and using quick swap with Mario to get her out so she couldn't die and lose all the charge. Got her to +30 attack, before managing to hit the superguard and defeating him with multibonk

All I did was buy like 15 power rush badges from the parlor, paid that one wizard to bring Mario’s HP to 5. And by doing all that with a few other badges, I was able to do 39 damage per hit, used power bounce and the secret bosses were dead within seconds😂

I 3 turned this fight (I think) I don’t remember if this is exactly what I did, but it’s at least close Here’s what I did: Start with 65fp, goombella at max hp and Mario in peril Goombella 1: Headbonk (no damage) Mario 1: Power Lift (+4, +4) Guard his first attack Goombella 2: Headbonk Mario 2: Spring Jump Superguard this attack Goombella 3: Rally Wink Mario 3: Spring Jump X2 And then he died

Just beat Mush before seeing this video and this is how I did it for those wondering: I went with the Danger Mario strategy and equipped with many Power Rush badges (grinded getting them from pinata parlor) and first did Power bounce to put Mush at exactly half its HP. This prevents the second phase from triggering where Mush is invincible until a superguard is performed correctly. The next turn, I used Rally Wink, then did two Hammers in a row which was enough to defeat Mush in 2 turns.

just use danger strats and when i mean that, i mean have mario's hp to 5, and get a whole lot of power rushes (15 is perfect) to deal way more. also have 2 power pluses to deal 36 dmg to a 0 def opponent, like a goomba

Thanks a bunch for showing the badges and how to do this, always played this game as a kid and I have been so excited for the remake, but never knew how to have this kind of fun back then! Can’t complain about getting such a great game remastered, just a tad bit disappointing that we only got 2 new bosses, love this game so much, wish there was more to do! A video on how to super guard better would be cool, for some reason I always just normally guard which I can time fine, just can’t get a super guard for some reason

Wonder how long it'll be before these sorts of strats get patched... Yeah, something like this was how I ended up beating PM (the acronym for the character's name, not the game's. How funny that they have the same initials). Except using Yoshi as my "attacker", and getting him down to about 50 HP before doing this sort of thing. I...actually wasn't expecting it to work as well as it did :P ^^; ! Anyway, nicely done!

I tried rhis fight post chapter 4 and eomehow lived long enough to see what he does when you get him 20-25 hp left when i saw that damage he did i was like yeah i be back later

Not wholly related to the strat, but about Power Lift: the description says the max is 5, but I've never been able to reach past +4/+4, and barely at that. Does that need a Simplifier equipped or something?

Thats one way of doing it! See all I did to beat him, was convert my 60 hp to 5hp, put the rest into BP and get the emblem ( I think is called close call, which gives you plus 2 if mario is 5 or below hp) multiply that with ( I had 15 for shits and giggles) well you can do the math lmao plus with jumpman, and other badges that increases mario attack damage I used that same ability on him I was hitting like 32 or 30 per jump lmfaoo I defeated everyone that way. I think people are calling this method danger mario?

Where do you get the double dip badges?

In strats like that, what badges are you allowed to use ? Because here you could use a 2nd power rush instead of p-up d-down and jumpman to save 3 bp and therefore 1 level but that would require buying one at the casino or stealing one from an random enemy, is that not allowed or is it considered kinda like cheating ? I killed him on turn 1 with lvl 10 mario but I used 2 p-up d-downs (also I started with 1 hp and killed him itemless)

did the power bounce timing change in the remake? I swear it was a lot easier in the original

Ngl this more showcases how busted items are in ttyd, triple dip is insane solely because you can use 3 items. Items alone with peril badges raise your attack by 10 here
