As someone who has been playing drums for over 30 years, and who has listened to and studied the playing of numerous drummers, including Buddy Rich, Bonham, Peart, Lars, Jay Weinberg and countless others ,I believe the drumming in this live performance is nothing short of spectacular.

Easily my favorite Destruction song. All these years later and they still sound as badass as ever. Vocals sound amazing as well, haven’t degraded in the slightest.

Since you're bringing THAT up, I had my bedroom walls, edge to edge, practically wallpapered in Slayer, Kreator, Destruction, etc. etc., back when I was 13/14 yrs.old in 1985/'86 with posters & mag clips. I'll never forget my jeans-jacket that I put my full-size "Destruction / The Mad Butcher" back patch on- along with a bunch of other patches of other bands. THOSE were the days...

saw these guys in 1988 'Live without sense' tour opening for CRO-MAGs in S.F at the Stone on Broadway. What a Blast it was and I wasn't disappointed but I had thought they should've headlined that show. Cro-Mags were great but DESTRUCTION was Killer. been a fan since 1984 and still am today.

I met Schmier and Mike the first time at the HELL COMES TO YOUR TOWN - Tour in 1986 at The Aladin in Bremen. They are great guys. And i often was backstage with them after the gigs having much fun and drinks. Cheers DESTRUCTION and thank you very much. Micha

The 1st Intro and then the riff!! One of the most evil evil riffs in metal history besides the famous Possessed riff. This song is so old and yet modern. And the Sound.

I never got super into destruction even though i first heard them at an early age. Had the sentence of death record at about 11 yrs old. I went to kreator show in the bay area back in around 2004 or something and they were on the bill with cephalic carnage. Honestly, they blew me away even though i was there to see kreator. Sick band live.

I think it was around 1985 that I had a destruction mad butcher full size back patch on my denim jacket - along with a whole bunch of other bands patches from sleeves in the front of the jacket all over I miss that jacket. ... And those days!

I have a jacket without patches but a few buttons and metal pins on it... Black Sabbath, AC/DC, Victim(awesome thrash from Weimar), Galaxy (heavy metal band with Simon Philips), Renft (old east german hard rock group comparable to Led Zeppelin/Deep Purple), Stern Meißen (east german keyboard centered prog later turned to pop/new wave in the 80s and now back to prog) and IC Falkenberg (a former singer of Stern Meißen). Oh... This has already been to so many concerts with me, I wanna keep it until it is completely ripped and torn apart.

You put out your first demos in 84!? Right thats the year of my birth! Thats 37 plus fuckin yrs your boys have been slaving and bleeding ,blood , sweat and fucking tears for us fans and I don't think we give back enough love sometimes so here's one thrash metal loving woman's givin horn and hails to a band I grew up loving with my parents and 2 siblings! Thank Satan for having parents who loved all genres of extreme and underground music! From Doa,Black flag,circle jerks, to priest, motorhead, DESTRUCTION, Kreator,maiden,pentagram, dio, mayhem, merciful fate,king diamond, diamond head, to frank zappa ,stevie vai, malmsteen,van Halen, racer x, to stuff like ramones, joy division, early glam like T.Rex, Bay city rollers, fucking slade was huge in my home! Early bowie, my entire family as a unit loved queen, Iron maiden, ramones, amon Amarth together and those times and memories ill cherish forever! Long live Heavy metal, punk, hardcore and their sub genres! And long live the weird kids who are blessed to pick up an instrument and create all these things we call music to love cherish and enjoy.
