The duplicate is mainly for defense, it is mainly for gathering power and armor. It doesn't affect its damage, I recently got it out of 7* and R2 is worth it too!

When the video starts, the pre-fight screen tells you all the info you may be searching for. So, in this case, He is a 6 star at rank 5, but he's also ascended. There's also an attack boost and a health boost on, as well. Not to mention the Saga boost during this saga, also.
