Yes!! It takes some extra minutes but I mean if I already spent a lot of time washing, deep conditioning and blow drying then I might as well take the extra step to make sure it turns out good😂❤️

I only use Tresemmé Heat Protectant on my silk press. No oils, serums, or leave-ins. ❤

Nice!❤️ I tried using only heat protectant spray once and my hair puffed back up the same day lol😂💜

@@mekalae: Really? Oh, wow. I had the opposite experience. The heat protectant helped my press last WAY longer and my hair isn’t heat trained at all.

It looks like you got your silk press done at a salon now that's a salon quality type of silk press without paying people. Thank you for this video I've been wanting to learn how to do a salon quality silk press. I got my hair silk press a couple years ago and it looked more like a blow dryed silk press than a silk press I am learning so much by watching your silk press videos

@@mekalae Hello, I know you didn't ask me, but here's some recommendations. I've liked the Fanola Fiber Fix set, but I think the US distributor stopped selling it. 2 affordable dupes from Korea are Lador Hydro LPP Treatment and Elizavecca CER 100 Collagen Ceramide Coating Protein Treatment. I like all of them since I have relaxed hair, but since your hair is natural you shouldn't need them more than once a month. Hope this helps beautiful! 🤗💖

What temp and speed is your blow drier? Your hair looks amazing even just after the blow dry step

@@mekalae thank you ! you have a very beautiful hair !! I have a very fine hair so when I do my silk press it is moving like yours and my roots revert back very quickly. Did u have tips for that ? because I do sport many times on a week and do not want to choose between sport and my hair. Keep doing this !!

You’re welcome! I used to be a cheerleader and I also used to be in the gym nearly everyday, I always put my hair up and tie it in a bun with a cotton or sports headband over my hairline since that’s where I sweat the most. I don’t sweat much in my scalp honestly so I’m not sure how to prevent it from reverting. Hope this helps 💜

I don’t wear my hair in it’s naturally curly state, only in braid outs. When it’s straight I wrap it every night, wear a bonnet and oil my ends when necessary❤️
