You should make a tutorial on noses, muzzles and ears. First time around, my muzzle looked like a duck bill! So a muzzle tutorial would definitely be really good out of the three! Also, a tutorial on lining would be great! Like the head lining and paw lining. I know it looks straightforward, but a tutorial wouldn’t hurt

Just remember to trace the pattern the right way onto the fur. Made that mistake once already. XD

I made my first tail (deer-tail) and it goes in the right way :3 I'm happy about it...today I'll make my 1,45 meter long tail (After school) ....and I'm 1,54 meter tall :3

If you’re head base is really symmetrical, you will only need to tape one side of the base! This saves tape and you can just flip the pattern over for the other side. If the design is different on the other side you will need to tape the whole base, but if it’s not you can tape only one side to save some tape. :) Also, thank you for making this! I used to have a really hard time tapping my head bases, I wish there were tutorials like this when I was starting out. Thank you again!❤️

That’s only if the headbase itself is exactly 100% symmetrical. Not just the pattern~. There will be imperfections with the fur otherwise~.

thank you so very much skye. I've been working on my first partial fursuit for nearly over a year now and i've been struggling so much on how to properly get the pattern and get proper ducktape cutting. my first try I messed up on the fur direction so I had to scrap the fur and have to wait to get more fur to get proper fur direction. Also you're tutorial videos have really helped me so much that I can't thank you enough plus I love the content you bring and I know i'm not the only one but you've inspired so many people including myself so I just wanted to say. Thank you so much,you're an amazing person and keep doing what you do.

I see you are still directly applying the duct tape. May I suggest using saran wrap to avoid any accidental foam lose? You would also not need to throw the tape onto the newspaper, though that is more cost effective.

I’m starting a ManoKit names Freyja and her face will be made of minky. The only trouble is the shield emblem in the center of her forehead. It’s a 4 quarter circle made of two different colors. Would I do the patterning the same way you did this suits eyebrows?

Thinking about making a head. The fur I got is very handy cuz if I brush it alot in a direction, it will go that direction. If I brush it in a different direction, it will go the new direction

Would it be good to use white masking tape so I don't lose as much foam peeling it off as well as more visibility for the pen markings?

Of course! You can use any color of masking tape, as long as you can clearly see the Sharpie markings. I'm using blue masking tape with a silver Sharpie.

I have question. *This goes to anyone who would know how to do this*. Pouncer is a snow leopard, and she has spots with little spots inside. * I wont make the spots to terribly small* but what would be the best to make them. Airbrushing I thought about, but I won't be able to wash it without it bleeding. What do I do?

While I had watched this video I realized that you taped on top of the foam and other videos they tape on saran wrap and I was just wondering if you tape straight on the foam will it ruin the foam or?

You can tape it. Some duct tapes are extremely sticky and can ruin the foam. I think pvc tape or any tape that isn’t really sticky and mostly on sticks to itself is a good choice I wouldn’t use masking tape Bc it’s too thin as well

I’m making my first fursuit right now, it’s looking pretty good but a few problems. The top of the head is extremely flat and when I wear it, the mouth on the inside squishes my nose down. Any tips on how I can fix this?

Maybe go back in and cut the triangle for your mouth on the BHB a bit bigger and add a half cylinder/rectangular kind of shape up the muzzle and towards the top of the head to hide where you've cut/give it a better shape (Thats if you haven't already). Regarding the flat head problem, depending on how you've made it, you can either add a spherical shape with cut outs for the ears or you can simply chuck a hecc tonne of hair on top. Hope that helped and good luck with your suit! 💕

To make it easier to get the ductape pattern off, wrap the head in saran wrap 1st then apply the tape, trace your pattern and then cut it off, keeping the saran wrap on the sticky side of the tape.

I find when you do that you end up with a really loose fitting pattern which is less than ideal for a smooth finish

@@SkyehighStudios Really? Im trying it out on my current head as I have mobility issues with my left hand and end up with a sticky mess trying to just straight up duct tape. Ive wrapped and taped it twice just trying to figure out where to put my darts.
