This video is a tutorial on how to get extra moist two double strand twist on short natural men, teen, or boys hair. This is a beginner friendly tutorial and you can do it yourself with a few simple steps and it also helps promote fast hair growth. This natural 4c hairstyle is for all texture types. I first started off by washing the natural kinky hair, then DETANGLE the hair using a comb. Next, I blow dry the hair on a low setting and then apply a heat protectant. Followed by sectioning the hair in 3 sections. First from ear to ear then a middle part creating two sections at the top of the head and one section at the back. It’s a great protective style and promote hair growth. If you are tired of your hair being dry and brittle, then watch this video. This method also helps with hair growth if done properly.

Thank you for this great video! I just tried twisting my sons hair - very similar hair type and style as yours and for the life of me I cannot get the roots right and it unravels. I am twisting the stands and then twisting together for a rope look and it does not look like a rope either. Help! 😂

The best two strand twist in my opinion to start locs is the one that uses less products. The less products you use the better the locking process and it reduces the possibility of unraveling.

Nothing else at all…. Then when I do the two strand twist itself I just place the shine n gel at the roots and start the process. Make sure to use small sections if you want your hair to look fuller

Hello my name is Joey aka SilverSaturn700 I like twist and braids. They don’t last long behind have to wash or I get itchy. I wanted to know what products are best for my mom to use. I get flakes if she uses moose or the green gel. She switches things up to test products and will sometimes just put oil to help me but I know my mom has a bad back so I would like it to last longer but still look nice. The first method gives you less frizz and last about 2-3 weeks. The 2nd method lasts up to 2 months with your texture, but most people let them stay in for about a month.

That sometimes happens but if you don’t mind heat you could pull on the twists and apply heat to re stretch your twist.

It will start to create dreads if left in too long (about 4-6months)…..I wouldn’t let it stay in for more than 6 weeks. He usually gets his hair done every 2-3 weeks because he like to switch up

You’re welcome. Letting them stay in for 6 weeks, you will just have two strand twists that will eventually start to get frizzy and have new growth at the roots. Some people love the frizzy look. Getting locs it’s a lot of stages that happens before you get the look you desire, but all stages are unique and special.

You just start unraveling the twists and the ends and they come out easily. You don’t have to blow dry the hair. Def not gon see this but you gotta twist the hair in the same direction, then twist the two strands in the different direction. Make sure they are tight. To ensure they dont unravel

@@duduskosana6149 yes, they actually require you thoroughly wet the hair before applying the Curl cream. And then seperating a section of hair and then twisting them in the same direction, then twisting them around each other but in a different direction. Ensure you tightly pull every twist. Not too hard though.

My son twist last for two weeks before I redo them. He always sleeps with a durag on to prevent unraveling. It depends on hair texture as well sometimes looser curls patterns unravel easier

I think the best way is getting hairstyles that you can keep in a long time so that way it is not being manipulated much and growth oil helps as well
