A friend gave me one of these without the manual. Thank you for posting this video on how to get this to work with my iphone 12 mini. Thanks again for all the details and your testing with different cases and remote distance.

I just picked one of these up used, in the box, from B&H ($15 total). Love it. I have a Samsung Galaxy 21 5G (the base model) with that same kind of clear rubber case. Fits fine. I positioned it just off the edge of the phone so my thumb can reach basic controls, such as lens selection, photo/video, etc. Even when not using it as a camera grip I quickly found that it makes it much easier to hang on the phone for several uses. I fumble my phone less now. When holding the phone vertical to text it actually makes the phone a LOT easier to hold and text. Since I am a photographer the Capgrip does indeed make it much easier to use my phone's cameras as a camera. I leave the Capgrip on. With it positioned as it is, I can slide the phone in a shirt pocket and the grip sits right at the top edge of the pocket. This also makes it much easier to grab the phone and pull it out when I get a call. For me it is one of those, "I never really knew how much I needed this until I got one." things.

So simple, yet so useful. I ordered it from B&H and it got to me in only four days, vs the estimated eight days, with no shipping fee. It paired with my iPhone SE (2020) easily. I had to remove my gripper ring to get the CapGrip to fit, but was able to keep my clear case on. I love how this gadget gives me a more solid grip when shooting, and I'm looking forward to using the shutter as a remote release. GREAT review by YES or NO Item REVIEWS!

Incredible job! Very resourceful with all the measurements, rocks, etc. LOL A very enjoyable watch, yet with very useful information for the product. I think I'm giving this thing a try, because the Pixel 6 Pro is huge, and it's extremely difficult to handle when taking pictures.

Just ordered one for the S22U. I hope it fits the biggest phone.

If you use the remote control to start/stop recording videos, the sound was capted for the camera? Some bluetooths controls cancel the microfone

You are supposed to clamp the phone much more to the right, exposing the back of the cap grip by about 2cm. This way, you can rest the thumb on the back of the cap grip instead of the screen on the phone and touch the controls on your phone. You also did not include what the removable piece (not the remote) does.
