Just a little input. I have same m3 with carbon fiber roof. I usually wash roof first and don't let it dry out I keep water on it because it leaves water stains. And when u were rinsing it off I noticed you have pressure washer too close to the roof. I'd keep a distance just for longevity of the roof since it's cf. great video man. Love to see people keep their m3 well taken care of and treat it with love! Keep it up!

After the final rinse, I like to blow off most of the water with a leaf blower. It saves so much time and will pretty much DRY your wheels. Then i finish up with a drying aid + towel. OK i noticed that after foaming your car you went right to the wash mit and didn't rince the car off first so all the lifted dirtespacially on the top or flat panels coulg get caught in the washmit and scratch the paint, maybe i missed the rince but i only say the rince after using the wash mit. Something i found based on recomendations from friends it is called 303 protectant, i use it on just about everyting from tires to any interior trim dashboards, leather seats,(not for suede or unfinnished fabrics), chrome trim and head lights. I put a couple of squirts on a small piece of sponge and apply. It spreads and spreads and haver found that thinner is better, it dries in a mionute or so and go over it with microfiber towel, you can put a second coat if you like using the same process, and it will last for a long long time and is dry to the touch as soon as it is buffed with microfiber towel. If you put it on heavy 1)you will not like the look and 2) You will need water to wipe off the excess to get the product to shine so use it sparingly. If you spay it on paint just wipe and that and anything else you put it on is UV protected. It was origanaly developed for use on the Space Shuttle. I buy it in the gallon size and it is much less costly but it comes in 16oz. and 32 oz. sizes as well. This is a link be sure to watch the video. smile.amazon.com/303-30320-Protectant-Plastic-Fiberglass/dp/B00L4TF32G/ref=pd_sbs_200_1?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_i=B00L4TF32G&pd_rd_r=Y1AHM62PHSTFF5HPDJGY&pd_rd_w=hEdnm&pd_rd_wg=WkXad&psc=1&refRID=Y1AHM62PHSTFF5HPDJGY

really good idea by using the little painters brush for the fine detailing. BUT... youd get the back even cleaner by removing the registration plate before the detail to get all that dirt from behind. good video though, beautiful M3

Brandon, you should try out the armor all wash and wax on the rest of your car, it's amazing even though it's $5 it still works a lot better than most expensive soaps, and you can actually see the water bead off of the paint so it does have wax in it

I think you need to rinse off the foam before using the wash pad. The rinsing off the foam removes all the tiny sands on your car. It’s also better to spray reload on your cloth. Very nice video! Thank you sir.
@ShiftedPerspective
@ShiftedPerspective 6 жыл бұрын
+Nick Bond the foam loosens and pulls the dirt off the car so rinsing to me seems like an extra step unless it's super dirty. And yes you're right, sometimes I forgot it's better to spray the towel.

Shouldn't you be rinsing the car after foaming but prior to putting the wash mitt on the paint surface? I always thought that was the whole purpose of foaming in order to remove as much of the debris as possible before touching the surface

@Roughdraft214
@Roughdraft214 6 жыл бұрын
If I use foam it’s because it’s noticeably dirty and so I want to remove as much dirt as possible before going with the mitt so yes rinsing after foam helps knock more dirt off. But he may have foamed just for demonstration. I would’ve just washed this car with the mitt but really, there is no one method. So what works for you and not just go by what others say.

That's what sucks though all this to just wash a car, must take 1-2 hours to just wash the car. Wish there was a faster process than setting up the pressure washer, two buckets, wheel bucket, all the crap you have to set up. Also the worst part after all that is you're still going to get scratches and swirls pretty much inevitable. Nice video thought btw.
@ShiftedPerspective
@ShiftedPerspective 6 жыл бұрын
It's a commitment, but it's worth it to me. Plus this process reduces the chance of scratches more than anything else I've tried so far.

+vetle33 yeah the attachments and quick disconnects reduce the pressure to about 1200 psi which is plenty for washing. It's more about the GPU (gallon per minute) than straight pressure

Kranzle most likely is quieter and has a extremely high GPM of like 2.1. In addition, its not about max PSI but sustained PSI. I run a karcher k1900 myself and its much better than the other budget pressure washers though.

You’ve got a nice ass. However, if you’re going to continue working with all those cleaning chemicals it’s a good idea to wear more protective clothes around your legs, and shoes on your feet. Most car care products aren’t that corrosive, but you just never know. Also, gloves when wiping, waxing or polishing is not a bad idea. Helpful video!

Looking at cars this summer, best is silver, then white, there were a couple of white cars I thought were scratchless, but I saw them later, you really have to look at the right angle when sun is bright. Last are metallic dark blue and black, IMO only suitable for detailers. Some 10+ year olds looked like they were washed with wire brush.

Well plenty of things wrong. One handed every thing? And do you know the whole purpose of snow foam? It is designed to be evenly sprayed onto dry surface and left to dwell depending on the amount of dirt. Then rinsed off, then go in with double grit Guard buckets. And that bullshit you do with that hoblue Adams shampoo where you put loads in the bucket then use another shit ton massive squeeze all over that lad, is just pure waste of product.

$1200 pressure washer.... Really? You can have a pro come to your house and wash your car for a long time for that much money.

Brandon B none the less you should really be ashamed of pushing a pos pressure washer that cost 1200. You have lost all credibility at that point including Matt from obsessed garage.

lame video to wash a car, you're just trying to sell the product + teach 10 year olds how to clean a car.

Most 10 year olds don’t wash cars. And yes, I do get a small kick back for the products people ask me about every day. This video was long overdue.

It's the intention of the video. you're not showing anything useful in this video, everyone knows how to wash a car, there's nothing new or interesting to learn from this video. You create a video with a sole purpose of listing a ton of products. Everyone has their ways i guess, just letting you know this channel wont go far if you continue making "blank" videos.
