This Mk2 looks beautiful 🤤. But, I can't believe that this GTI has the Yugoslav tail light (16:22), I have seen even one of the headlights on it from YU as well. And, yeah. I am a new subscriber.

Amazing difference to the interior. Find a mint passenger gti seat and use the foam from that on your drivers seat, dont worry about the pattern you only need the foam. Then get a trim shop to replace the damaged sections on the seat covers.

Think I’ve found somewhere that does both the foam and the fabric? My neighbour has a sewing machine!! If I order a couple of meters I can mess it up a few times... as always! 😂 best try find a pro I think 🤔

It was a lot of work but then it was way past due...you can hire a shampoo machine for the day and bang it out. I’d recommend the seats out as that’s easy enough... the carpets a bit more complicated! Once every 30 years is enough 😅 still, happy it’s out the way 👍 moving on!!

vwheritage got new bolsters for the karmann seats, i know that a lot of UK upholsteres got that material, check with the ones near you.

I thought I was feeling fine after my takeaway tonight of chish and fips, until you sniffed the brown smelly stuff from under the seat whereupon I almost saw my takeaway for the second time! 'Wang it in' has become de rigueur chez toi mon ami! Scratch and sniff might not be so great pour les après dinner!

Yeah sorry about that!! It was a bad idea to smell it, I was close myself 🤢 Fish and Chips!!! That’s one thing I really miss. We make it at home but it’s just not the same from the Chippy!! Fill your boots up mate before the big move 👍
