Detailing & Dry Ice Blasting Porsche 993 GT2

The one and only 993 GT2. We were thrilled and privileged to be working on this legendary Porsche. The first step was dry ice blasting to detail the undercarriage. Years of built-up dirt and grime are now all gone. Three days of paint correction to rid all swirl marks. Then followed by 5 layers of Modesta BC-03 glass coating. The red paint is now well protected plus it shines and shimmers under the lights. Lastly, we performed a comprehensive interior detailing. The owner is simply stunned by the end result.

I was in awe of the condition and beauty of this rare vehicle in such classy colors and didn't notice till the end that it was RHD. I was going to comment on its rarity but you beat me to it. A lovely car and looks practically new after the detailing. Knowing the value of that vehicle I would be almost afraid to take it apart to the level for a cleaning. Imagine an accidental slip with a screwdriver, I would nearly cry.

The care and attention to detail by the technicians is off the charts! The rarity and color combo of this 993 is stunning as well. I would have gone with Xpel PPF prior to Modesta, but perhaps this car will not be driven much due to its value. I can only hope my 2024 992 Carrera GTS with Xpel and Modesta scheduled is done remotely close to the level this outfit takes it to!

What’s the clear spray you use after the dry ice blasting? Looks like a good alternative to underseal to preserve the look

So what was being sprayed on to the underside after ice blasting? Assuming it’s a product of some protect the work you guys have just completed, just wondering if said product being sprayed stays tacky or actually cures to hard shell?.

Ok, the detail job and dry icing was impressive, the polishing was spot on. That said, there’s no way in hell I’d let any detail shop take apart my GT2 to ceramic coat it. I don’t care how careful they are, shit never goes back the same way. Porsche dealers can’t even put all the bolts back in right or miss them when they service 911’s. Other than that this was an amazing video, and these guys did appear to be very careful, just count me out for the disassembly on my pride and joy…

Hm not so sure about the dry ice blasting. Removing the factory original brown undercoating from a 993 GT2 actually seems like a value decrease to such a car than increase… :(
