actually jason isaac said that when they were filming chamber of secrets he avada kendavra was actually the only spelled he remembered and he didn't know the meaning bc he wasn't finished with reading the books. so it wasn't written in the script

Here's one you missed: Emma Watson broke her wrist while ice-skating when this movie was being filmed. In the scene where she is pouring out the Polyjuice potion, her right sleeve is pulled well up to the palm of her hand. This is probably to hide the bandage/cast.

Both the book and film version have, more than any other story to me, that feeling of “oh, it was so blindingly obvious, how could I have NOT worked it out on first reading”. There’s the diary slip in the movie, and the fact that we never see Ginny during an attack but we always check in with her subtly just after an attack in the book. Subtle but obvious on second viewing/reading.

One of my favorite theories that really fuel the fact that Draco isn’t as bad as people think is that when they’re in the book store in the beginning, Draco picks up a book and rips out a page. We never see what happens to that page. But when Hermione BOOK LOVER Hermione gets petrified she’s holding one single page. Why would Hermione rip it out and not just take the whole book? Well because someone gave her that page. Aka Draco. That’s a theory I will always stay with

In the books, the trio exchange notes after Hermione is unpetrified and she is happy to know that they figured it out from the page she was holding. It is mentioned elsewhere in the earlier chapters that she went to the library, found the basilisk reference, and ran into Penelope Clearwater. Hermione cautioned her to be careful and look into shadows and corners, in case something was lurking, and Penelope got her mirror out. So both girls got petrified because they saw the basilisk through the mirror etc etc. Quite descriptive, no mention of Draco giving her the page. I am not trying to be mean or anything, just saying that the books made it clear thaf Hermione tore it out of a library book, maybe because this was a life and death situation and she didn't care about tearing a crucial page out of a book if it was difficult to borrow or take the book out of the library.

In the duel Harry uses "Rictumsempra" and Draco fel down, but, Rictumsempra is a tikling charm. That is even bij "Expelliarmus" from Draco.

@@lazyhomebody1356 I don't think they were disputing the fact that Hermione's parents are canonically dentists, but rather the scene in the film during the slug club where Slughorn is confused by the concept of Dentists didn't happen in the books, not to mention the books also don't mention a face on the Weasley clock for 'Dentist' which was also a film only mention/detail; the later films aren't exactly known for their consistency or continuity.

Am I the only one that notices how many times Hogwarts actually changed their school uniform? In Fantastic Beasts 2, you could see young Newt in his blue and yellow Hufflepuff uniform. In the first 2 parts of Harry Potter, they had all-black uniforms and their hoods were also completely black. They also had 2 buttons and you could also see that the Slytherin logo on the uniform had a larger silver border and no longer in the other parts. The logos of the houses were generally larger in the first two parts. The tie was also only 2 thick strokes with the main house color ( green for Slytherin, red for Gryffindor, yellow for Hufflepuff, blue for Ravenclaw) and after the 2 parts, the tie had the main color of the house and several smaller strokes of the secondary color of the house. In the other parts, the hoods had the main color of the house. You could also see the color a bit outside when it goes into the hood. In addition, the uniform inside also had the main house color, which she did not have in the previous parts.

i always assumed this was to represent their year/grade level. like maybe if you're a 3rd year and above, you have the different patterned tie, which could possibly show some sort of superiority/leadership to help the "underclassmen" if that makes sense lol

This is possibly my favorite "Harry Potter" movie along with the "Goblet of Fire". Anyway about the clock thing though, to be honest I'm WAY more curious about the fact that the clock says "Prison" next to "Dentist" more than anything else. I haven't read the books or anything but I'm assuming "Prison" as shown on the clock meant "Askaban". But yeah I'm really curious as to why THAT would be there. 🤔 Also good eye Cherry about the cameraman in that one shot, I never picked up on that! 😉👏

Just watching the Weasley's clock... To me it looks like Ron's is on one half of a pair of scissors?! Anyone agree?? 3:28 (you can kinda see the other part of the scissors while it moves... I think some are spoons) Maybe it's a make up of muggles household items as we know Arthur Weasley is a big fan of muggles and their gadgets! **edit note I typed this comment before Cherry said they are scissors... ✌️

I was literally just watching this movie yesterday, and I noticed that in the beginning, when Ron comes to rescue Harry, there is what appears to be a bowl, a plate, and some silverware on Harry's desk... However, Ron later tells his mom that the Dursleys were starving Harry... it made me curious about other little things like that lol so thanks for this series, love!

The actual reason why Lucius started saying the killing curse was because Jason Isaacs wanted to add a spell but only finished the fourth book, and the only spell he could remember was the killing curse
