I love the way Cesare and Luca play their characters just a few degrees from straight, with a lovely nuanced comedy that's very subtle. It contributes greatly to the charm of the Montalbano series. I look forward to Cesare's character Mimi in every episode.

Montalbano is the best series on MhZ bar none. Cesare is Mimi forever--regardless of whatever else he does. Luca is superb!! Great ensemble acting, photography, directing, music and--of course--scripts based on well-written, imaginative, thoroghly delightful Camilleri (RIP) novels. Looking forward to the last 3 episodes. everything about series is amazing, from its script to the actors and the locations...a very beautiful Sicilian series...and those villages shown in the series are just amazing.

Watching "Montalbano" was like having a sex addiction with no repercussions. I saw all 36 episodes plus the entire "Young "Montalbano" series and STILL can't get enough! Cesare brought an obvious maturity to Mimi and, imo, better looks, and his comments here about mimicking a Sicilian accent were honest, humorous and appreciated. That made his speaking in English even sexier.
