That one is awesome you should also see Sabaton live in Gothenburg were they had Carolean renenactors with Carolus himself on stage leading the troops :) search "Caroleans soldiers join Sabaton on stage and fire their arms"

Interesting fact about Thermopylae, the 300 spartans were actually leonidas's personal guard since he was unable to mobalize spartas entire army due to it being an olympic year meaning the Olympic truce was in place and to break that truce was considered one of the highest sacrileges you could comitt and so were reinforced en route by about 7000 other soldiers from various city states and were intended to hopefully hold Thermopylae until the rest of the army could be mobilized, it should also be stated the Persian army they faced numbered between 120 to 300,000

I’ve heard people complain Sabaton overdoes the anthemic, epic sound, but they ain’t singing about army clerks who collated and stapled above and beyond the call of duty here. I friggin’ LOVE IT.

Unfortunately, the surrounding area is sketchy at best. It was not 300 but 3,000, and another few thousand Hoplites. Also, King Leonidas was actually 60 years old when this battle took place. In the movie, it is portrayed that the other Greek states didn't want to fight, but we have reports from Athens, who were masters at naval warfare and fought their own campaign too. Yes, the brave 3,000 lasted 3 days, killing upwards of 40,000 against an army likely to be 100k strong.
