i also watched (I thought) all episodes, and don't remember this one either. Looks like it was from 2016 season Episode 2. the next one (#3) was the rail car tanker implosion, which I DO remember.

They duplicated MacGyver's result. However, most of the dynamite didn't explode, so, they did another test. In that test, they blew the truck to bits. Nonetheless, their first test may have duplicated MacGyver's result perfectly, as perhaps most of that dynamite failed to explode, also. Anyway..

Well, it wasn't dynamite. Trinitrotoluene would be my next guess? The large yellow sticks are something I have never seen outside of underwater demolition. Was it TNT or some HighTech explosive? If you skip all the details people learn NOTHING!
