Detroit: Become Human is an adventure game developed by Quantic Dream and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment for the PlayStation 4, released worldwide on 25 May 2018. Amanda isn't an AI. She is a administrative program designed to manipulate and guide the machine learning of connor's AI. So that he doesn't become deviant, until it suits cyberlife that is.

I know this is suuuuper late, but since no one else said it. There IS kinda a dialogue option for that. I can't remember if it's the "Did you feel anything when that girl killed herself, Connor?" or the "Did you feel anything when you shot those two girls?", but for one of them, you get the option to choose COLD or DISTURBED. If you choose disturbed, Connor raises his voice a little and goes "I was just executing instructions! I did what I had to do!" in a shaky tone. Edit: Apologies, didn't realize that option was in this video, it IS the "Did you feel anything when that girl killed herself, Connor?" dialogue. They chose "cold" here, but that's what he says if you choose "disturbed."

Difficult to tell. The blinking does not seem particularly out of place or out of sync, so it really might've been indifferent in Connor's view. I've just rewatched that section a few times over, but Connor does not seem to struggle with that blink at all. He does squint a little though.

@@Raidoven I agree. In all honesty, it kinda looked like an eye twitch. Like, after he blinked, it looked like his eye was twitching or maybe he was refreshing his software. I know androids blink their eyes super fast when doing that so maybe that what that was? Idek

The reason Connor has an ai is kinda like the buddy system in nier automata and even in real life, it's to try to keep him from going rogue. Someone to soothe his doubts and reaffirm his beliefs. Cults use that technique a lot. I don't remember what it's called. I guess a good example is the Asch line test. If you think everyone else things the same way you're less likely to speak out (cyberlife probably hadn't counted on Hank being open to deviants being sentient and expected whatever cop he was with would just ignore him or give him shit for letting them get away)

Cheon Teoh am I the only one that saw that Connor and Markus are the same model, but different versions? Markus is a RK200, and Connor is a RK800. Maybe that why they collaborate that good, and that's why they have the same powers. Now, that show us that, when an android is a deviant, he has unlimited power and can choose how to fight, but a machine has a style of fighting, maybe that's why, when Connor is a machine and Markus is having a revolution, you can Control one of them, because Markus can be better than Connor, and beat him, or worse than Connor, and get beaten-up.

ItzRxd YT Yea, he should be, but then, why you can beat him as Markus? That's why I said that, when an android is becoming a deviant, he has unlimited power, so that the numbers doesn't count. That's my theory.

Connor himself has said everything unlikely can statistically speaking be possible. Markus being an earlier model no doubt means he is not technically as sophisticated as Connor. That does not mean he cannot beat Connor, even though it is unlikely. "Unlimited power" practically means god, and I do not see Markus reprogramming Connor upon contact or anything remotely godlike about him.

@@keksitzee1094 By unlimited power, I was meaning he doesn't have a style of fighting, speaking, or doing anything. Connor is programmed to hunt deviants, but Markus isn't, he has free will to do anything, he can choose to be pacifist or violent. But Connor can't, he have only one purpose, to acomplish his mission.

Technically that might not be true. Markus and early RK androids were Kamski's passion project. Something he worked on in secret and made autonomous to a certain extent which is why Connor can choose which orders to obey and if he wants to get out of the car or not when hank's having lunch. But since Connor is only a few months old by this point and Kamski had left by the time he was made its possible someone else took over the RK project and weren't as skilled or driven so Connor is more of a redesign or rehashed version of earlier RK androids. Unless Kamski had already plotted out all of Connor's development but even then there's no way to prove the engineering team that took over would follow what he'd left

I love this channel, even in 2022 i watch your DBH videos. Could you make a video on if Cobnor never does anything that reflects "empathy" (what i mean is, when Fowler lets the FBI take over and says Hank is off the case, connor gets one more chance to find Jericho and Hank says "when you refused to kill that android at Kamski's place... you put yourself in her shoes.. you showed empathy Connor, and empathy is a human emotion" so what happens if Connor never shows empathy?)

I know this is really late, but.. There is two different dialogues you can get with Hank there if you never show empathy 1. If you only have Connor never die, or die once he says "For a while there I thought you'd show some emotion, but you've never been anything other than a machine." 2. If Connor dies 2+ times, then he'll say, "Something's changed in you Connor, every time you came back just a little colder, showing less and less empathy." You have to have him above hostile to get these or else he leaves prematurely
