Goff was not relying on amazing talent or fantastic scheming to get receivers open. Goff was straight up delivering strikes into tight windows against constant man coverage. He's probably top 5-7 this year so far, but is getting very overlooked.

The Lions spent a huge portion of the week reflecting on their performance on Thanksgiving. They get back to running the football with David Montgomery and Jahmyr Gibbs. The Defense still has some issues with big plays, but they did enough to come away victorious

The Lions have to improve defensively if they expect to compete with Philly, Frisco, and Dallas, in the NFC championship game. You can't give up a 21 point lead and expect to win against those teams. They must find some quality safeties and cornerbacks.

Love the win but my God our defense is still atrocious. If Carr wasn’t forced out with injury we easily could’ve lost. Winston missed open receivers multiple times on their final drive. AG really gotta go at this point because we haven’t put up even a descent defensive showing since the bye week. I know we don’t have elite personnel on that side of the ball but we cannot keep letting mediocre offenses come close to putting up 30 or more on us every game. This is unacceptable.

Hell of an effort by the Saints and good job Lions on not blowing these games like they did in years past. Lions defense has to figure out how to play better tho. Giving receivers a laughable amount of space, pass rush has been non-existent, and they're giving up way too many points for the 4th week in a row. No way you should be at risk of losing a game where you're up 21-0 seven minutes into the game.

This is about as heartbreaking of a loss as it gets for New Orleans.. it'd be one thing if it was a straight blowout but the resiliency displayed by the Saints kept them in it all game. And it should be noted that 100% of that "almost" comeback was from the players alone. Not the incompetent coaching staff. Hats off to Detroit for the hard fought win. I just hope the front office for New Orleans can finally put their pride to the side & realize what isn't working. (which will never happen seemingly)

RedZone offense is almost entirely unpredictable. In fact there's just as much a chance a team that's troubled in the reds home we'll play better going forward just because the law of averages. The same thing with third down. This has been studied back and front by those who follow statistics. It's hard to have great red zone offense or defense unless you have like a Hall of Fame quarterback level

I've been routing for the browns and lions this year because they are old legacy teams pre super bowl and have never been to a Super Bowl . Well don't have much hope for the browns now, but i really do believe the Lions have a good chance to make it to the SB this time !

the browns are 7-5, 7th in the afc, meaning if the season ended today, they would make the playoffs, they are also only one win from being the 5th or 4th seed in the afc, and they have a easy schedule for the rest of the season, so i think the browns still have hope.

I've been a Lions fan my whole life. I've had my share of disappointment to say the least. The most memorable was the first round playoff game against Green Bay. I was on the 50 at the Pontiac Silverdome watching the Lions lead pretty much the whole game. Green Bay had the ball deep in their zone with time running out. Who of all people is wide open in the end zone waving their arms? None other than Sterling Sharp. Their top receiver not even covered. That was the year that the Lions had the #1 offense in the league. Moore, Perriman, Sanders, and Mitchell as quarterback. Enough talking about the bad and let's talk about the good. Yes their defense and offense are far from perfect but I truly feel they are just a couple players away from being a true Super Bowl contender. As far as this game goes a win is a win and we'll take it. I want to see the Lions win a Superbowl in my lifetime. I'm afraid if they did though Detroit would be burnt to the ground. That's how they celebrate there.

Carr was the only reason they were in the game. Winston was put in a position to win it but came up short for the 3rd time. Three of the Saints losses are on him despite his limited play. Still has yet to win a game and he has had leads.

ill explain, the saints would have won by 2 if carr didnt throw that interception on there opening drive, cause the lions won by 5 and they scored on the next play after the int. 😂😂😂

Another one on the edge of our seats but overall a great game and big win. I hope big Frank didn't wreck his knee for that win we need that man if Detroit is to go anywhere in the playoffs.

Hopefully Ragnow is okay. Lions definitely need him playing. Lions defense is gonna get torched against a competent QB. That's the kinda thing that could cause them to not win a playoff game again. They gotta make some changes on D next season.

Agreed, but most people fail to realize we lost 2 out of our 3 big FA signings for the secondary. And in this game we're without our best "coverage" LB. I'd say let's keep working and be thankful for getting by.

As a Lions fan, look, I wish we made it to the Super Bowl and faced the Chiefs, but hey, given how long the Lions have struggled and faced futility and misery for the last 30+ years, I’m more than happy with how this season turned out. I will watch every win from this season with a huge smile on my face for years to come! 👍😊

Big game by Goff. Way to bounce back. Guy was throwing lasers out there. Carr didn't play too badly either but had to leave before the comeback was complete. Kamara is a beast. Guy knows how to use a blocker to gain yards. Was a good game. Happy the Lions bounced back from their drop in form recently.

A sideline official suffered a serious leg injury in the first quarter. FOX treated the poor dude with the same respect as they would show a drunk fan running onto the field. They refused to show the medics treating him. It was a gruesome injury, but they didn't have to show his injured leg, just show that he was being attended to. I was genuinely interested in his condition, just like I would any if player, coach, sideline reporter, or cheerleader was seriously injured. I'm upset FOX refused to show him receiving medical attention. If FOX was televising a Rolling Stones concert live and a guitarist fainted on stage, what would FOX do? Many Rolling Stones fans would want FOX to show that guitarist receiving aid and would be concerned about his health.

If u are a Lion fan (like me), the story of this game is how horrendous our defense is. We're still about 3 very good players away on our defense from being able to compete for any kind of post season success. But, compared to where we were before Holmes/Campbell, we're in amazing shape, talent-wise, overall.

@@silent1759 mcvay is an offensive genius and he's had cooks, kupp, Todd Gurley, Robert woods etc...and a genius calling plays and he still couldn't win there they needed stafford to win it....we have LaPorta, gibbs, st brown, top offensive players plus Montgomery and jamo coming on, top O line and Ben Johnson calling plays...Plug any QB in the league and they can do what he does.most can do it better. Dude can't even throw a spiral because of his little tiny hands

And hire who? We need more pieces on D and we have injuries that we're battling with on D as well. It takes time, money and hella effort to build a complete team. But yelling to fire someone without a real plan in mind is just emotional talk.

@@DiamondEubanks Look I get we don’t have depth on D, but 25+ points for 4 straight weeks against fireable coaches including the worst offensive coordinator in the NFL is no excuse. Glenn had all year to make adjustments for CJ and Moseley and he just keeps getting worse. If the Lions had a defense, this would’ve never been a game in the first place

Aaron Glenn isn't the problem. This same defense was playing better against mediocre teams early in the season. Now tht there is 12 weeks of tape out on this defense its not tht good.
