Hey, Penei. Just in case you read these comments? I was born in Michigan but due to my dad's Army life, we moved a lot and ended up in Tennessee. After I got through a long bout of depression and had the mental energy to start rooting for the home team, about this time last year I jumped back on the football bandwagon, caught up with the Lions state of affairs, and all over the place I saw your big shining grin. This past year, you helped deliver a HUGE wave of optimism and joy to my native state, and I am so proud that a young talent as humble and wonderful as you is taking care of my people as much as they are of you. Thank you for being a wonderful flagbearer for the Lions Pride, enjoy the good things that come back to you when you give it away, and I cannot wait to wear your new black jersey with pride.

My favorite lion. Everytime I think about Penei, I think about how on draft night I was so incredibly nervous that cinci was going to pick him and the relief I felt when they didn't.
