2 years ago I turned on Texas vs K State. Had no idea who I was pulling for, as I live in Oregon and I'm ducks fan. After a moment, I kept hearing the name. "Deuce Vaughn! 20 yard gain!". Over and over, his name was called. So the following week I tuned in to K State to watch this small back dominate bigger schools and defensive lines. I watched him dismantle Alabama and TCU. Never once considering he might one day become a cowboy. The night they drafted him, I was stoked and couldn't believe a player I admired would be picked by my favorite NFL team. I really hope deuce proves everyone wrong and shows the world he deserves to be a back in the NFL. Analytics can measure statistics, but not heart. Deuce has the heart, I just hope he can show it every single week.

As a Texas fan, I got to watch this guy a lot whenever we played Kansas State. He's gonna be a massive steal for us. Him and Tony Pollard are gonna be fun to watch this season.

It's hard to see him behind a big ass lineman especially because he's fast and quick AF so it's hard to get a clean hit on him. Everyone had midget jokes for him in high school and college and he shut them all up and will do the same in the pros.

Great to see Deuce getting an NFL TD (even if it is in a preseason game). I got to meet him at the end of K-State's season opener last year, and he was a real class act, signing autographs for a bunch of young fans.

It was hard to tell if his speed and shiftiness would translate from college. And he didn’t look that fast in his training camp tape but geez this guys quickness is off the charts. He’s much more athletic coming out of college then sproles was so his expectations are now getting much bigger. This kid has a much better chance at being special than I honestly thought.

the steal of the draft is Deuce Vaughn, he will eventually be the #1Dallas back in future and make pro bowls, if he stays healthy will be one of the top 5 backs in the league each year. remember he was first team All American last year all purpose player, and is every bit as good if not better than Darren Sproles who also attended Kstate and who is Deuce's mentor. he led Kstate to big 12 tile last year beating TCU who beat Michigan enroute to title game. Deuce will be a superstar for the Cowboys and may help Dallas get over the edge getting to the Superbowl. As a Chiefs fan I was heartbroken KC didn't pick him up but the perfect fit is Dallas, even the uniforms are similar to Kstates and his father is a scout. mark my words on this kid he is going to cause talent evaluaters many nightmares who passed up on him because of his size, but he has heart + talent = success
