It's insane to me how with time this game becomes more and more relevant. Deus Ex feels like a prediction of future that, at this rate, will become true

10 years man. damn i still remember back when i was 15 years old, and i was VERY excited for this game. time flies and too many painful events happend during these 10 years ;(

First scene shows Rembrandt's famous painting The Anatomy Lesson of Dr. Nicolaes Tulp. Then the protagonist leaves the proceedings and thus transcends typical human anatomy. The next scene is an allusion to the Greek myth about icarus. Does our transhumanism ambition make us fly too close to the sun, and ultimately will it cause our own downfall? The rest of the trailer gives an introduction to the world the game inhabits. It describes the necessary social changes that would occur following augmentations and the imagery suggests the perhaps inevitable social inequality that would also result. It talks about conspiracy/corporate power and 3:10 calls back to Descartes idea of Cartesian dualism.

Just completed it for the first time... after 73hrs+ game play... still living up to today's standards .. what an awesome game.. the OST is just something else

When a game from 2010 is more cyperbunk and a better game than Cyberpunk a game from 2020. Niiiiiice

One of my few favorite games of all time. The gameplay, the story, the music, the characters, the meaning-behind-it-all, etc. I never asked for something this awesome. The trailer itself is a work of art.

Rewatching the trailer for this game and remembering just how awesome a game it was, even with the original boss fights, really makes me realize how much Cyberpunk dropped the ball.

By far. This is the one of the BEST trailers of all time. Holy shit, how have I played DX:HR (and now the Director's Cut variant) over 7 times and yet never seen the original cinematic trailer? Bravo Eidos' cinematic director. Bravo.

Still, one of the most powerful game trailers. Between Elias Toufexis's voice, and the music, it captures Deus Ex perfectly.

I played this game at the end of 2020. Glad I chose this over cyberpunk

I remember when this game came out....I had never played a more underrated game in my entire life. The story is so deep and the themes of it mirror what our world is coming to.

I wouldn't call deus ex hr cyberpunk anymore... More and more it looks like the world around us, if were not quite there yet we will soon be. And i'm strangely calm and intrigued about it.

Played Cyberpunk 2077, got thristy to replay DXhR and DXMD - played them. Realised Square Enix achieved something way better all those years back. Why would you go down the Avengers drain when you can make something like THIS SQUARE ENIX.
