Dev Sahab was unsurpassed in vivacity,, romantic portrayals, and handsomeness. In real life, he was a man who defied defeat, discontentment and failures- a true practitioner of Lord Krishna’s sermon in Geeta that one has a right in performing his duties to the best of his abilities, but never in its fruits. Dev Sahab shall be remembered in history as an immortal actor.

Well he did his BA in English . This at a time when BA students learnt proper English and classical English literature . Now no wonder let alone BA but even MA students cant speak fluent english ...its because the level of BA and MA has come down .

Man! This was some man, he dreamt, he created and he succeeded ... "Guide" was a great example, which he kept on and on with follow-on successes ... And even during our times, "Hare Rama Hare Krishna", "Des Pardes" and some others followed on He lived life with his own script, with one thing for sure - he was the star :)

There happened to be no reason to ask about love stories and about ridgid behaviour. At the age of 80 years he was directing films and at that point imagining to keep young heroines on his side. After all he had a loving wife till the death.

Feroz Khan starer Kala Sona and several other movies were about opium trade too, but they didn't face any censor issue.

Kala Sona & all those other movies were made AFTER The Evil Within. Regardless, I think the opium plot was just an excuse, the real reason why they didn't release it in India was because of the lesbian angle in the movie which was too advanced for India back then.
