Imagine just chilling with your friends on a small smp and a guy with a mojang cape just loggs in and starts asking questions

Having played this game for over 12 years I really enjoy the mojang devs connection with the community and them asking for feedback. Minecraft has came a long ways since the beginning and for the better!

You can trust a company, when they hang up childrens drawing and really think about it putting the wishes into the game. This is pretty wholesome

I love videos like this. It reminds me that even though Mojang is owned and funded by Microsoft, Mojang is still, at heart, an indie studio that listens to its community closely

I would love to see some kind of "meet the staff" type episode. All of Mojang staff are just so full of personality! They're the pink sheep of game developers!

I don’t think there is another game that listens to a community so well and often. One of the many reasons Minecraft is hands down one of the best games ever made!

I have played this game on the PS3 since 2013 and on PC since 2019 and I can say that this is the biggest Update yet and I am hyped for it!

Hey Minecraft, I know it might be a bit soon to think about 1.19, but I had an idea I'd like you to consider: a frost and snow update, focusing on all the colder aspects of Minecraft like ice spikes, tundras, snowy hills and all the others. I think it would be really cool to add carved ice (kind of like chiseled and carved stone to be able to make an ice castle kind of build), maybe some new mobs like penguins or different fish that only live in cold areas like sardines, and new structures like camps on the ice, places where ice was mined for building, and ancient camps/buildings frozen in ice. Thanks for all the work you do for us!

I love that Mojang is so close to the community. It's quite rare to see that in companies these days.

Seeing how outstanding current terrain generation is in the 1.18 test snapshots you guys were providing, I highly recommend adding waterfalls and underground rivers to the bunch. Adding those magestic wonders of nature to the game will provide us with even better terrain to build bases or other structures on and will of course boost our thirst for explorations.

For a game that keeps getting updates after 10 years and still holds up very well today... That's really impressive. Congrats!

I got the game thinking it was a kid's game to see what the fuss was about. bear in mind I'm 48. but depending on how hard you put the difficulty in single player I put it up against any horror game great job genuinely.

This update in a nutshell Finaly, the mountains look like mountains, caves look like caves, and the entirety of mojang forgot that waterfalls exist

The team has created a lot of great child hood memories. Also made a lot of people happy and smarter threw there creativity and ability to communicate socially threw the game.

I'm happy the minecraft team isn't too scared of changeing the game for the better, it's really nice to see how a 11 year old game like MC can still evolve and expand. Can't wait to see what 1.19 will bring :D

You could add a block-climbing feature with (example) only gold pickaxes, since the new mountains will be massive, a new way to escalate them with more ease would be very appreciated by the community (I hope) You could Also add new structures that ressemble abandonded mountain shelters/shacks in which you would find an uncraftable mountain pick like the One I mentionned before

My suggestion for pirate illagers has gained a lot of traction. Whenever archaeology gets put into the game, perhaps pirates could be added at the same time.

Mojang is something other game studios should model themselves after.

From my testing with the 1.17 preview caves I really enjoyed how the big caves not only met with each other and with the surface but also when they're within a few blocks of each other. So I'm swimming through a flooded cave, I hear a zombie below me, mine down, and now I'm in a whole new cave. Or the reverse, I see water dripping from the ceiling, investigate, it's a big flooded cave! I love these moments of discovery. I had heard suggested more opportunities like this such as caves deliberately hidden behind gravel. And thinking to the structures that generate down there, I do like the touchups to the mineshafts, and do wonder if it's finally time to tweak dungeons? They're very plain, with the main appeal being the monster spawner, but what if we had additional spawners that were "fragile" and broke after a set number of monsters? This could allow structures to use spawners liberally without worrying about them being mass-farmed.

I've been playing Minecraft for almost 7 years now and I play PE and Bedrock in my phone. Through the years the Minecraft keeps on adding new ideas and I really really like it!!

Never seen a company as immersed in and interactive with their fan base. Kudos to you all!

The Sandy Update: Adds an Oasis Biome with new palm trees. Beaches will also will have palm trees. Palm wood would be a tan shade in-between birch and oak. It would make players want to build a beach-house.

I would love to see the warden become overwhealmed and confused, maybe even stunned if there is too much noise, I dont know how much noise or how you would implement such a thing but it would give players who accidently awaken it without knowing what it was (for example new players) a way to get away

Minecraft is the best game ever. It is super simple, yet so fun and very creative. The game is more popular now than ever and it's popularity keeps growing because they actually engage their community which no other game really does. They really care for the community, and that's heart warming :)

On the surface, I do think a simple change to avoid making the overworld too difficult too hard to navigate would simply be craftable saddles involving 5 leather, 2 tripwire hooks, and a string. A grappling hook is something I've wanted for a while but of course that would take more dev time and balancing. In an average 1.17 world I generally find my first saddle in the nether fortress or on a wandering strider.

Been playing the experimental snapshots and lost track of time just exploring and making a cute cottage on top of a meadow biome, because it feels so peaceful to play and build in. Even though I didn't do much exploring, more building, I can already feel how adding this one biome changed my entire experience of the game. Great job mojang! Loving the snapshots and feeling like my opinions mattered to you guys! Thanks for a great game.

How lucky are we as players to have a dev team who are as caring about what the community thinks and actively promotes engagement with them?!

Speaking of Minecraft ideas, I just got done playing the Terralith pack which had some brilliant cave biome variations. From simpler choices like diorite and granite caves to ice and magma caves and new geodes like the rare emerald geode, it all blended well and I'd love some more cave biomes in 1.18 or beyond.

Agnes has such an infectious passion for this game, it’s always on display whenever they showcase the next update at Minecraft Live and I can’t wait to see what they’re cooking up for 1.19.

I remember back in the day when everyone was like: We need a cave update... And then granite diorite and andesite were born... But everyone kept asking for something more like this 1.17-1.18 type of change.

Oh my goodness I really wanted to watch this video and forgot!!! I appreciate all of the work you have put into Minecraft. I remember when the Nether update was coming out I really wanted nether gold. In my mind it works perfectly for the lore of the golden tools and improves the mining in the nether, but I assumed the amount of people who wanted it was far to small to be noticed. I was wrong, and when it was added I almost felt like I specifically was being listened to, it was incredible. The cave update was something I heard many people wanted and this whole update is a love letter to the fans.(I suppose all updates are though lol). I just wanted to say all of this because sometimes I fear our requests and complaints might come across as…not the nicest… and I just wanted to say thanks. I’ll probably ask for features and bug fixes again in a different video, but I wanted to say thanks….again!

Hi Mojang! First I want to say that I couldn't honestly put into words just how excited I am about this update. Finally Minecraft is getting the inspirational terrain that I've always wanted it to have. Mountain ranges, river valleys, beaches, I have so many ideas about what to build :D I am a builder first and foremost, and have been keeping myself busy constructing a city on a flat swamp plain, because I have been waiting for the mountains to get upgraded for a long time - I wanted to save my designs for terrain that complements them. But now, we're getting what I always wanted! I knew we'd get this eventually. However, and this took me by surprise - the underworld, and the deep dark! WOW! As a long time Skyrim player, I just KNOW that I will spend countless hours underground, and enjoy mining again. Could it be that Minecraft will now have every gameplay element I want in a game? It really looks like it! I haven't gone caving in years, but now I can't wait to spend long evenings underground, exploring an entire new subterranean world :D I'm glad you delayed this update to do it right (and my city has taken longer than I thought lol!). This really feels like a new era. I'd wait another year for this if I had to, but it looks like you're nearly ready :) Great work Mojang!

I keep my fingers crossed for you that this update will be one of the biggest and most interesting updates we have received. as a community, I would like mobs that are only command-based to be added to the normal game, for example, and the illusionist could be added to the snow-capped mountains as a different kind of outpost. see you in the next update

Feedback bit: I made a large build that the ambience system recognized as a cave. The sounds were thankfully not out of place for that build, but they would be in a lot of others.

Listen, all I gotta say is I nearly sh* myself when I fell into a small pond in the game and it turned out to be an absolutely terrifying ginormous cave
