My advice to my son was this: find something you are interested in, learn everything you can about it, and become really good at doing that thing. Becoming an expert on that thing will make others ask for you. I gave him that advice because I am someone who likes to try everything but feel like I’ve wasted time when my career would have taken off. I struggle to stay interested in something because I’ve allowed myself to move on too fast from one thing to another. I can’t even find a job with my psychology degree bc of zero experience. @jennabetters Жыл бұрын
some “mechanical” stuff yes is easy after training. Even a high schooler can punch numbers into a software. But the schooling is necessary to understand the “why” behind it. After an internship and a year of full-time work, getting through your first tax season or audit season is massively satisfying, because at that point, you really start to see the “book work” from school coming together.
