Alex is the founder of Krainer Analytics and creator of I-System Trend Following. He has worked as a market analyst, researcher, trader and hedge fund manager since 1996. Alex was born and raised in a socialist regime of former Yugoslavia, under one-party communist rule. As a 17-year old he joined a student exchange program and took up his university studies there, ultimately transferring to Switzerland on a scholarship where he completed a degree in Business and Economics. From Switzerland his path led him to Venezuela where he lived for a year and experienced his first banking crisis in 1994 when 9 of Venezuela’s 16 largest banks failed and brought the country’s economy to a grinding halt. The same year he returned to Croatia and joined the military where he served through 1995 during the last phases of Croatia’s war of independence. In 1996, upon discharge from the military, Alex took employment at an oil trading company in Monaco. In 1998 he became the head of risk and CEO in 2000. Alex had originated the firm’s research and development program in market analysis and application of neural networks and artificial intelligence in trading of financial and commodities markets. By 2007 Alex launched his own investment management business and was among the small minority of managers who generated positive investment returns (+27%) during the 2008 financial crisis. Over the following six years, his fund outperformed the Dow Jones Credit Suisse index of Blue Chip commodity futures trading funds. In 2011 Alex Joined Lee Robinson’s Altana Wealth to manage the firm’s inflation hedging strategy. In 2019 Alex created Altana Wealth’s systematic portfolio allocation strategy designed to bridge the gap between technology and finance. In more recent years, Alex also busied himself as an author. He published his first book “Mastering Uncertainty in Commodities Trading” in 2015. In 2021 this book was selected as #1 on Financial-Expert.co.uk’s list of “The 5 Best Commodities Books for Investors and Traders.” In 2017 he published “The Grand Deception” which is available exclusively from the RedPill Press. In 2021 he published “Alex Krainer’s Trend Following Bible.”

Although I have interests in global economics I don't watch the news anymore... I have enough FUD lol. Thanks for this news and offering your insight on how to navigate during unfortunate times/events like this. You're right about keeping level headed when investing so that's why I think it's important to limit the amount of FUD we consume. I don't watch the media but the news that you present has enough to know issues going on without riding the emotional rollercoaster if I were to watch the news everyday. Now I buy and just trade long term more than ever, I have made over 16 btc from day trading with Kerrie Farrell in few weeks, this is one of the best medium to backup your assets incase it goes bearish...

Alex understands the changes and is assessing the geopolitical movements ahead of us. Momentum is moving towards Eastern powers, and the UA escalation will go down in history as the trigger of this power shift. Moreover, when he described the approach by Kai, who suggested that "a low-cost solution for UA would be to take Russia's security concerns seriously," Kai was fired because he was considered disloyal. God bless Kai as he was dumped from the Western bus heading nowhere. Alex put all the pieces of the future power map together thoroughly and explained it in simple words. That's a great mind. No surprise he made it to where he is today: an independent-thinking, speaking, and acting Croatian gentleman 🇭🇷 with a universal view of the 🌎 world. 🙏👏

One of the better shows on this channel. This guest is absolutely informed and fair with his narrative of various topics. Gave me much food for thought especially China's long game which of course makes sense. I always wondered why Western powers would not help to uplift African nations vs. keeping the boot on their neck, very shortsighted. China is not perfect but surely are more fair and equal in their dealings with African nations.

Good new guest, many things I agree with that I don’t hear much Russia’s problem and solution with Ukraine is grand geopolitical security across Asia and the World in general, it is not about simply keeping weapons off its borders and protecting ethnic Russians, the port of Crimea is an international security concern; Appeasing Chinese and Iranian moral high ground was a top priority, something worth sacrificing Russian soldiers for Before the war started I was made aware of Russian relative self sufficiency, much as the Soviets without the clunky central command, I didn’t expect sanctions to have much effect at all and was more surprised to see everyone else surprised, it seemed very obvious The ethnic Russians in Donbas are much like the Palestinians in geopolitics, they are a domestic problem; We should understand that Iran and Hezbollah are in a long game to defeat Israel in a Cold War, everyone sympathizes with Palestinians, but an emotional battle for their liberation would cost millions of lives and be foolish, nothing Israel does to its own people is, or should be a trigger for extrinsic invasion, only a gross attack outward from Israel will do this; It is similar for the other Muslim states who are too compromised to even support Palestine as an ally, without a UN resolution to intervene with economic force there is no solution

This is the 5th or 6th ban YT slapped me with. You can't say too much, or it is hate speech. It is not hate speech when it is the truth. But when you write YT to complain you get no reply. Even so, YT is a very good forum for free speech and I've been on hundreds of forums going back to the 1990's BBS days...and have been banned from most of them. You just can't say much when it comes to YT's beloved groups. But I was not here in the covid days and had heard YT did not like certain covid discussions back then.

I like this Alex Krainer!. He has deep insight and a great honesty. For my part, I will state that all power IS power - and this includes oil, electricity etc. Russia has oil and gas. It is a simple action to use that power for yourself rather than to portion it to others for dubious claims on their peaceful cooperation. All power IS power. In economic terms, I would direct people to look at the work of Steve Keen, and others like him, who understand that all economy is based on energy. All power IS power. And what is political power? It is a game of critical dependency - like every drug-dealer knows. IF you can get your power within your own land? None can get you hooked on a dependency you don't need. Worth thinking about huh?
