Although not always easy to maintain, and also in some sense less fun -- as in, becoming infatuated with someone allows for deeper love, but indifference sortl blunts that, but also protects you from having your heart broken. Is it possible to have both? This is my major problem. I'll get girls super attracted to me, typically because I maintain that indifference, but I dont know how to transition to actually expressing and having intense, deep feelings, because as soon as I do, they often seem to pull away.

My gf has most definitely lost interest and I wasn't even trying to see her all the time , maybe once or twice a week. At first she even wanted to meet more and I stopped her in her tracks. I wouldn't blow up her phone and I kept busy and for 5 months I had her crazy about me. Then this week she drops off a cliff, she's texting way less and her messages became short and one worded. She asks to meet on Friday, I agree and Friday comes and she didn't even follow through. No mention of her even bringing it up on the day. So I called her out on it , she said she wasn't feeling well. Fair enough, but that doesn't excuse to not even acknowledge what she has arranged with me and forget that it even exists . The day we went to meet , she went out swimming earlier in the day yet flakes on me in the evening. Then the next morning she says she's gonna see a friend out of town, yet wouldn't see me the night before. That's too low interest for me , I suspect there's someone else in the picture. I decided to just call it quits and dump her , it will get worse till I eventually find out the person she's feeling more than me.

This is great advice to be indifferent. I asked a woman from work out and she flaked so I pulled away immediately. I didn't say another word about it to her. No crying, no convincing. I say hello and still talk to her regarding work. But no more long glances and stares and chit-chat just to talk. She was freaked out for a few days but now she's gotten used to it.
