On October 30th, Dr. Paul Epstein and Tim Seldin explored the topic of Developing a Montessori Middle and/or High School Program. We discussed many of the fundamental issues in organizing a new secondary program, from staffing to organizing the course of study, ways of learning, experiential programs, internships, travel, facilities, admission of older students from other schools to teacher preparation.
Each Thursday at 10 am EST (GMT -5) the Montessori Foundation hosts a free weekly Montessori Leadership Webinar.

This was a very informative webinar, and I know I'll be listening to it several times this summer, as I prepare for my own son now entering this stage. I hope the sequel(s) to this content has been uploaded, or soon will be. Thank-you to these 2 gentlemen, Tim and Paul, for sharing.

Hi, I am saving this for future watching, but does this address the fact that the Montessori method uses no grading system, but for high school, I think no grades could be dangerous because when the students go off to college, grading is most certainly present. And I fear that no grades in high school will not prepare them for what college will be like. Just wondering if this addresses that issue at all. Thanks.

kickkss there is a greasing system and there is a designated person that supports the student to what ever school they want to get into - Harvard university or any university.

kickkss grading system for university. The school provides what the university is looking for.
