I really like that idea of using two characters to build the improvisation around. Definitely gonna try applying that to my own playing.

SEVERiN They've been built up so it's easier to reach with his palms, so his hands don't have to go far off the sax.

I'm having trouble memorizing my scales. It gets boring just going up and down the scales. Is there a better way of memorizing scales?

Try learning the first five notes of each major scale. Then you can put them together to make the full scales. Also try taking a simple tune that you know, and learn it in all 12 keys.
