The most interesting book P. D. James wrote was 1992's "The Children of Men'. (She took the expression from the Book of Proverbs). The 2006 film of the same title, which I rate at 8.9/10, was based on the book and she was quite happy with Alfonso Cuaron's production. The book is an expression and manifestation of her life experience and associated frame of reference. She was a wise woman.
