Mission 18 was always a big problem for me on DMD mode, up to 3 bosses at once by the end. Then I found out I could just run to the seal that forms when the boss fight starts turn the camera and hold down the fire button until everything dies. As it turns out... What I lacked...was cheese.

To avoid being vulnerable to attacks while performing the red hot night move, charge the devil Dante sword by holding the triangle button for a few seconds. You will automatically have summoned swords behind you and while in gunslinger mode, the summoned swords will attack anything that comes within 3 paces of Dante. This gives you enough time to perform the Red hot night move.

Using currency to deal massive damage? *looks at Yojimbo*

You can also use DT's super armor properties while charging up Red Hot Night. Also you really should've talked about Hat Trick, which is press Gun or Style as Dante catches the hat after using Set Hat or Mad Hatter to yank any hatted enemies to Dante along with a huge amount of Red Orbs from them! Along with being an amazing crowd control move, it's the main method of getting Rorbs for Dr.Faust's moves!

They're are other ways to protect yourself while charging the meteor attack, you can use the summon swords with the devil sword dante before charging the move and use it while it circles enemies, or you can use 2 bars of dt to charge the sword and while you're in gunslinger mode so the summon swords will automatically attack enemies.

I wish Dr. Faust will turn into a base weapon like Coyote-a and Ebony&Ivory in Dmc 6. It can block the future ranged weapon ideas but man, it just fits to Dante.

You can farm tonnes of red orb in mission 13 with Hat set. Reach final wave, hat set all enemies and keep pressing Gunslinger style button and explode. When all enemies are dead, reload checkpoint. It's not a glitch or a bug but a good way to farm red orbs. Thanks developers.

I actually started streaming my Faust only DMD play through last night. Before enemies devil trigger it’s all about giving everyone a hat and cord controlling with that flourish.

I've literally said for years for various games that have new game Plus that there needs to be something for when you inevitably upgrade everything possible and have bookoodles of game currency stockpiled to make use of it. This is a great game mechanic imo bc if I'm on like my fifth playthrough and everything's purchased and upgraded it still gives me a reason to save red orbs Other mechanics could be a heal mechanic or converts it to whatever your super mode meter for a game is or like that armor from twilight princess it takes away your game currency instead of health when you get hit

This makes the insult hurled at Dante by Tameem (Ninja Theory) even more ironic. This is only made more funny by the fact that the Faust hat, not only, makes Dante a "Gay Cowboy" but it's also intentionally the most OP weapon in the entire game.

I have a question On harder diff. Like dante must die the enemy just won't stop in their places as if they say " we empathy you , come on attack us and get red orbs " they will more than likely be saying " oh you want to farm it would be very bad if someone teleported to your back like the wolf and damaged you "

You can also use DT while charging the move so smaller enemies don't break the animation. Just in case you can't do the other options he listed to pull the move off. Dante doesn't stagger while in DT unless it's multiple hits from small enemies or a hit from a larger enemy.

I have done some “numbers” on this weapon and that Lv. 4 Faust, charge 3 red hot night (which btw takes exactly 10 seconds for full charge and only requires 150,000 red orbs to fire) dose exactly 10,400 damage.(granted the enemy doesn’t get hit away) That is MORE then enough damage to kill DMD devil triggered Virgle in one hit... so yes this move WILL one hit kill all normal and boss enemies regardless of any defense buff the enemy may have... have fun.

This is up there with the foam finger from Dead Space 2 as one of my favorite lethal joke weapons ever

I have 2 questions: Can Red Orb farming be done in the Void? And will the hat mechanic give you Red Orbs while using moves from Sin Devil Trigger?

I noticed the camera trick when I was playing DMC3 always thought it was a glitch.

Since i got literally backstabbed by one of that Double Scythe Enemies and a Scissor Sister as i was testing this on "dante must die" i can disconfirm that "enemies don't attack if they are offscreen" but it do work with Hell Caina and normal Empusa if they have no Devil Trigger on them. Plus when the Double Scythes have Devil Trigger they can and will Teleport away even if you bombard them with Dr. Fausts Orbs (Testet with the EU Version)

Can you start charging this on Vergil when he is preparing to dash around in Demon form and summon the meteors on his head and kill him? I don't have the red orbs to try this right now.

I realized Faust's potential as soon as I got it but I wasn't really a big fan of how it worked - and not just the money-spending mechanic. I was hoping for something a little bit different but that Red Hot Night move definitely deals out the pain - to the enemies and your wallet.

Around 4:30 I see that you are throwing orbs at an enemy while still gaining more orbs. Is it because you've marked that enemy and are standing close to it to collect the orbs that come out?

The red hot night doesn't 1 shot everything. DMD m17 Urizen takes 4-5 max charge to kill him.

i started using it just because i needed to get all 3 million orbs for each character, i didn't know all characters shared the orbs i thought it was going to be like dmc 4 where both characters got the same souls but how you used them was individual.

How effective would the Interceptor Sword Formation at providing cover while your charging? True it requires to be in Devil Trigger or spend two DT bars, but in theory it would be cover fire.

Avoid getting hit on DMD from enemies wearing the hat, you WILL regret it, you'll lose more orbs than you can get back. I advise mastering a monster before putting a hat on it, LOL
