I just want to say that watching your journey of discovering metal truly warms my heart. It's definitely a gradual sort of thing and an acquired taste, but once it clicks, it's like stumbling upon the greatest treasure you never knew existed. Here's to the journey, brother. And if you like DevilDriver (which I think you do), you've got to give Lamb of God a shot. They are very similar in style and my personal favorite metal band ever. Keep the metal coming!

React to Iron Maiden, I cannot recommend them enough - absolutely essential, one of the most influential bands in metal, when you hear Bruce's voice you're jaw will drop. They are one of those bands that have so many good songs and have been consistently awesome over their whole career so whatever song pops up on Spotify will likely be a masterpiece. If you react to them your brush will get a lot of use as they are probably the metal band that are the most fun to sing along to although no one would be able to his the notes he hits. Musically they are very fast, melodic and have a huge production.

I'm so looking forward to watching you hear Clouds over California from their Last kind words album. You really should listen to Machine Head and Lamb Of God also.

Hey buddy - great reaction! Ill throw my hat in the ring and recommend a band called Scar Symmetry. Incredible harsh and clean vocals with top notch musicianship that has a sci-fi feel to it.

Those first 2 devildriver records are masterpieces. Not sure what happened after that. Once I heard that first self titled as a 15 year old, metal became my favorite genre. Just fucking nasty, man.

Great stuff but can I make a suggestion? Spend some time to make playlists for your marathons. Make a playlist for each band you marathon. That way YT algorithms wont screw up and take people away from your stuff when we want to watch one after the other.
