We love Elemental, but back in 2006 to 2013 HEROmation was playing with the same elements on a much lower budget! Directed by Michael Cawood, this computer animated short film is the work of a worldwide team of Artists and Animators working from home. Entirely developed in the public eye online, and with no budget, it has also become a fantastic resource for Animation students and professionals alike. The film screened on the Walk of Fame, Grauman's Chinese Theater at the Holly Shorts Festival, the first of three films from HEROmation to appear at the Hollyshorts Festival.

The Devil is thicc because glutony is a sin and bad. Death has big mammary juggs because... I'll come back to that one. So let me get this straight... Devil wanted to impress Death by showing off his power, but it was too much for him to handle so he over did it. Then with all the breakups, lead to heart break, leads to suicides so Death's powers also go haywire. And Cupid decides to take Death's remote to get even more power somehow? I like the animation and the story but the controllers needed to be explained better. And shouldn't Death be WAY older than Cupid cuz Death has been around longer than the concept of Love.

On the subject of age I could say some junk about death being eternal whereas love is something that can be born, linger, grow, be destroyed, wrecked, killed and born again but.. Really alot of this didn't make sense. I'm with you. Stuff needs to be explained.

Because Cupid was there the longest making him a old man and death seemed to be semi-new and the devil young because he's new as the others weren't that good so they kept replacing them.

I wouldn't even give it a "little" messy. It was a lot messy. The concept was weak; Death doesn't typically have power over other supernatural entities and yet she seems powerless to stop humans from dying when the demon blasts away. Her reactions don't even make sense. The emotional palette of the demon is so limited. He's just afraid of everything, for no reason at all. The music was horribly inappropriate (way over the top) for the events. On top of that, the animation was too active, too bouncy, too much going on.

Devil being replace constanly so he young. Death was remove severed years so she get old, she will be replace. Angel was the nicest thing on there so they live longer than eventually got to be replace. Human has no right to change those thing and can't make their own destiny in that world.

Well other than the extremely over sexualized death, I would say that this this animation is amazingly well done. Amazing sounds and color. Voices where clear and subtle plus the animations of the characters and background were superb. If I didn't know any better I would say that this is on par with some serious professional work. Very good job.

It was ok I think. I liked the concept and everything, that was pretty darn creative. I understood that the whole idea was "Hey not all attractive women want the attractive guys" thing going on with anti-cupid/the Devil (Though idk why he'd be the Devil. The Devil would more than likely have more important things to do other than break up couples but that's just me I guess) but this felt so... awkward. Probably because this was a short animation and not a lot of plot progression could be done, but it felt so rushed. Like Death suddenly having these romantic feelings for this guy she's met for maybe 1 minute who lit himself on fire to impress her and up her chest size. Cupid easily loses his control of Death even though he's thousands of years more experienced than the Devil. These plus maybe a few other things just made the pacing and story feel really off and I didn't like it. Visually this is a very appealing piece though.

I said death had compassion on humans, so if she had compassion the devil could have also had compassion but he didn't show any. She wasn't mad at him for doing his job, she just found him less attractive as a person as shown by her not angry but displeased attitude towards him.

Um, what? This feels like one long unending string of stereotypes. I'm especially unfond of Death being just another damsel in distress being fought over by a lecherous old man and a young man who, I might add, doesn't really have anything going for him. There's no reason to think that he's anything but a sniveling coward who takes far too long to courage up and do something. Was it SO SCARY that even we would have been wetting our pants? Then they didn't do a good enough job portraying that, which is a different point against them. And why does she get involved with him? There are absolutely no redeeming characteristics inherent to him. The only thing that he did of himself that she so much as smiled as was when he screwed up and burned himself. As if we need another story about a man who gets the girl because he's an idiot.... Oh, but he won the battle against Cupid- and so he won HER. I'm sorry. I wanted to like this, but as soon as Death turned into a simpering trophy to be fought for, I was done.
