I cannot reconcile that the original RAMONES are dead and gone. ....and Joe Strummer (Clash), some of the Pretenders, Petty, Bowie. Thankfully members of Talking Heads, Police, Blondie, Elvis Costello w/Attractions are still with us. 70s New Wave and Punk, brought so much needed energy and FUN, even for Baby Boomers of the 60s, like me.

Not many bands are truly avant garden and accessible. Devo hit that mark like no other, and gloriously I might add. Against the odds, they made music that transcended the time and still moves me. This elevates them to one of the greatest in what we (someone did, it stuck) call rock and roll.

Slipknot had replaced NIN as the headliner about a month before the show, so there were a lot of hardcore Slipknot fans up front. If it were NIN fans, they probably would’ve been more into Devo due to Josh Freese’s history, NIN’s new wave roots, and Devo’s Head Like a Hole cover. Also, the crowd was more fun on the right side. With the way the barricades are set up, there’s more room to move around and mosh on the right than on the left.

This is a fantastic quality video, thanks for filming the entire show. It's important that these shows are documented. The band are on great form too. I saw them a lot in the late '00s and they're as good as they were then, if not better.
