The quality of editing, slow motion effects, background music, filming, commentary of the players and their partners, lighting, screen splits, replays - elevated arm wrestling at a never seen level before. The game was interesting as well, Larrat loves to bully Georgie and this time it worked, he broke the respectful gentle giant even if he had incredible elbow strength.

I am a relative newcomer (fan) to the sport. I am just loving...learning more about the strategy and tactics. Can someone please give an explanation of what Devon meant when he said, Georgi "beat my hand"? And then to follow...how Devon won without his hand?

@@Mcannon1962hand is wrist...u can see devon wrist bend backward slightly...this normally happen bcoz of toproll attempt(this technique target the upper hand..fingers and try to roll it backward hence the name)really powerful technique... normally larrat have the strongest wrist(right hand) and never been bend backward Toproll also favors taller wrestlers since they have longer leverage

@@Mcannon1962 So I'll add a bit to what others have said. In arm wrestling the "hand" usually refers to 2 movements of the wrist. Wrist flexion (cupping) and radial deviation (rising, aka pulling your knuckles towards your head). Cupping is defeated with pronation (turning the forearm inwards so that your knuckles turn towards you) outside of strap, but with the strap it's usually a combination of pronation and the opponents cup. Rising is defeated with the opponents rising and back pressure (using the back muscles to pull the arm back). In this case, Devon first lost the cup, and later on his riser, but he never lost his pronation, which meant that Georgi also couldn't maintain his cup (remember, cupping is defeated with pronation). Because his pronation was stronger, he could prevent Georgi from cupping and accessing his full power (you need a strong cup for a toproll).

I am a very big Larratt fan, and I wanted him to win this match. What impressed me most was the skill, sportsmanship, class and determination Georgi demonstrated. We all know, Devon approaches these bouts mentally as well as physically. Using every tool he can to beat his opponent. Georgi did not let any of the mind games impact his performance. Before every round, Georgi came in with a handshake, like a true sportsman, showing respect for his opponent and the sport. He pulled his heart out. Even after going down 4-0, he wanted to pull the last two rounds. He came to battle and was not going to give up. He fought like an absolute champion and while he lost the bout, he proved what a great competitor and ambassador he is for this sport. He has a new fan in me. Can't wait to see your next match Georgi.

This sport realy needs to reevalute its rules. As someone who casually who watches it, it realy does not make sense for someone in losing position to get a foul when having elbow off the pad. I mean what's the motivation to not do it when you are in close match and you are starting to lose? You just move your elbow off the pad and get another go without losing a point. Unless I am missing something here? If someone is in losing position and his elbow is off the pad you dont stop the round. He should stay off the pad or adjust himself, but you cant give someone who is fouling free get out of the jail card when in losing position. I mean every other actual sport understands that you keep the advantage to the winning side if losing side makes foul or makes illegal move. It's very basic logic, because then losing side has very clear motivation to stop losing situation by making a foul. I mean come on, what is this.

I agree. They have rules about kings move, shoulder below the pad that are different if you are in an attacking position vs if you are defensive. If you are trying to pin your opponent you can get your shoulder below. Maybe we could do the same with elbow fowls. In a losing position, your hand 15cm from the pad, your deliberate elbow fowls should be a loss

Not going to lie I would say arm wars probably has the best production value out of all of the arm wrestling organizations to date the production quality is top notch the background color is amazing it's like an OLED 4k screen the deep rich blacks everything is just perfect the sound the commentary just amazing I'll have to become a full subscriber in a few days 😊
