This video is a video comparison between Devon Larratt & John Brzenk, who will have an armwrestling fight on December 11th.
Devon "No Limits" Larratt is a Canadian professional armwrestler.
Larratt is notable for defeating, in 2008, legendary armwrestler John Brzenk. He is also the first armwrestler to gain world championship titles in both right and left hand at the same time.
John Brzenk born 1964, is an professional armwrestler from the United States. He competes in the Ultimate Armwrestling League and is the current UAL Right-Handed Champion . He won the 2015 World Armwrestling League right handed Heavyweight championship. Among experts Brzenk is widely regarded, and was also officially named by the Guinness Book of World Records, as the "Greatest Armwrestler of All Time.

@@radishjunk Also, it's not like age 26 and 37. Age 46 and 57. 11 years is a much bigger gap, then you might think. Unfortunately, aging starts to really accelerate after 50... big time. Speed and endurance go first, strength last. That being said; John is a complete outlier.

By definition the headline is incorrect. Only one of these men are in the Guinness Book of World Records. Devon's career will never compare to the legacy of John "The Goat" Brzenk, and he is the only one that can hold this title.

Awesome vid man!!! They say Legends never die. Hopefully the old boy will be around for a long, long time. It's easy to take him for granted. But we are fortunate to have him back. May God be with him and he destroy all in his path. But win or lose, he's already secured his legacy. What a great time for arm wrestling 💪

Ofc not, John is the one doing the challenging now to prove that he's still got it, and that he can still get even stronger, which is possible despite his hiatus. Age may slowly deteriorate strength, but it won't be as quickly as you can gain it until you're much older than this, especially for athletes who have been doing it for so long and have bodies built specifically for that at this point.

These are my 2 faverate armwrestlers. Also mattask and schoolboy and Alex toproll John bresnk has set the records is stone. No man will go undefeated for 20 plus years like John did. People.allways argue that it's not true. Yes it is folks. In competition, John bresnk was UNDEFEATED for over 20 years . Now he's near 60 and guys want peice of him and it's funny really. Even in his golden years he will beat most pros. No other man will do what John has done .

I'm new to this and am confused as to how this is allowed. It's arm wrestling, full body weight seems a clear violation. But if the elbow stays on the pad I guess anything goes? Devon should have said something... Like, That's right son, kneel.

Magnus could have been really good. He called it quits at armwrestling when he was 25 I think and usually you don't hit you're peak in armwrestling until your 30s or 40s.

Devon's pretty good with the slip, don't think he's afraid of the ✋ of John's though he knows it's more advantage to him to be in the strap. Devon's hand is one of the best in the business probably second to the Goat, Goat athlete. Even before John and his start. Just on the grip up ,John knows the ✋ of his opponents and what to expect. That's freakish insight. He's been around the traps for 5 decades. he's the greatest of all time of the greatest of all time. I don't think any sportsman has reigned over 5 decades at the pinnacle of the sport. That's God status, but amazing of all he's still humble and likes a beer or three. The odds seem in Devon's corner but one can never underestimate John to their peril, especially now he's training. When John's training hard that's serious man. Good luck to both! Happy Pulling!

I have to say the motivation music doesn't really do it for me i would much rather have seen this video with the original footage sounds, the commentary, crowd cheers and of course devon and johns mid fight banter..... "where you going buddy". Each to their own but i find sometimes music really kills a video for me and with videos like this i find it just detracts from some of the epic moments that were in this video

Maybe, but look at his level after 6 years on the couch, beating some of best in the 200-220 weight class. He has not even been near a gym , just some good pulling. It's just incredible. There is no one near him in this sport! Everyone has to understand that. It is not even a contest!

2008 version of Devon was by far the greatest arm wrestler in history. Larratt dominated Brzenk at 2008 Arm Wars, who had defeated Cyplenkov that same year. That says it all.

Nope. Devon doesn't face the best competition and doesn't pull tournaments. He's strictly a supermatch puller. His legacy doesn't compare to Brzenk's.

John is definitely a legend. I thinks it’s important to define what GOAT actually is. The way I see greatest is the person who can be at the top for the longest period of time. Anybody can have a one hit wonder or a short period of being the best. Only the greatest can hold that position for years and years and that is definitely John at this point.

He beat most heavyweights too but he also lost a few of them, he was undefeted in his weight division but not in heavyweights so by saying devon is top ten you'd have to say the same for john, he beat a young denis but he didn't beat prime denis and he wouldn't beat levan and a few others. Its fine to be a fan but dont be a one sighted one he is the goat for a reason but its not because he is the best and strongest of everyone there is a difference, its like saying mayweather is better than tyson or ali which on paper is true because he is undefeted but he wouldn't beat tyson or ali or most the heavyweights for that matter just like john wouldn't beat levan or prime denis and a few others so yes john is probably top 10 also by your definition

Every armwrestler, even John, likely on TRT or something low end. You don't keep strength at that age without a little something. Neither on anything heavy a la Cyplenkov tho. Both value their health too much.
