Devon’s defence is so good that his offence comes naturally. That’s his biggest skill. Only times Devon has been in trouble has been when pullers have immense strength in certain areas like the flop press and hook. Sometimes defence is the best offence shown by many pullers in the kings move by crazy George and Michael Todd. Devon took that move and put it in his arsenal as well.

This practice pull really showed the difference when you dont go full on with your riser in a kingsmove. Impressive that you could open him up that much regardless

@@tolbster. i think you missunderstood me. Yea maybe i wordet it wrong. This is what happen when devon doesnt use his riser in his toproll. Thats why devon trained his riser the most, if he uses it he can just shut down his opponents hands entirely, In thi practice pull he didnt use it and therefore it looked like this

There in this practice pull he grabbed way lower and that was the resoult. I was just pointing how strong devons riser really is

This is the practice Devon needs on a regular basis to beat guys like Genadi. You can't just train locally in Canada, focus mainly on working on a table against mediocre pullers and expect to be in the top 5 or 10 in the world on a consistent basis.

Well from what I saw in this video I think there's a big chance that Dave will put Devon in a king's move on earlier rounds if Devon won't go inside fast enough. We often see devon now being a brick wall against hooks and toprolls, especially in the strap, but once the opponent hits with side pressure he always lose his angle.
