Outstanding interview! Devon is a force of nature... sincere, modest, uber-talented, & caring! I really like how he has expanded his reach to other countries... and has most recently began "drawing/painting while interviewing" subjects.... strangers he meet on the streets. I also enjoyed his interview with Katie Couric.... where he sketched her portrait while being interview4ed. I wish more people were like Devon... the world would be a better place. And finally... this interview was FANTASTIC! BZ

You captured the faces of everyday people. May you remain humble even if you're now at the peak of your career, Thanks to your mentor and teacher who guided you and all the endeavor he did for you. Yep, an art teacher, I had in high school (Mrs Prince), saw my drawings and sort of, took me under her wing. She even taught me after school. She introduced me to many new mediums and taught me a wide variety of art techniques. If is wasn't her intervention, I highly doubt I would have continued to create art. That all happened, over 50 years ago. I am now 71 and I am now, an award winning artist. Thank you Mrs Prince - may you rest in peace. 🎨

I love how some people react to receiving an unexpected gift and they are so touched and uplifted. The portraits themselves bring out the best most beautiful nature in people. So gifted to be able to do that. My dad was an artist who had such difficulty getting along in this world. He did scratchcard animals who were beautifully and realistically expressive. After his death I was tasked with distributing his artwork and saw a side of him I never knew and who he wanted to be. The family members all chose their favorite pieces and beyond that the best of what was left was donated to an art gallery with deep pockets and an extensive audience of patrons. The proceeds from his work has gone to youth art programs and I think he would have liked that.

This is a significant and poignant interview with Ms. SAJET who undoubtedly is an esteemed member of the art world. I appreciated the interview as she brought all of the elements of Devon's art and the world he re-introduced, the Portrait and she established the greater meaning behind his work. Creating a mechanism for connection between strangers perhaps revealing to one another that beyond the physicalities we can and may share common interest. He breaks down the fear of knowing someone else. Loved this interview and how she made him shine even more so...Devon's paint and strokes transcend beyond the palette. He is not only mixing colors, he's redefining what it means to be part of life's mosaic. Best wishes for the two. Life is an art form.

The quality of gift that keeps on giving. Whoever that person was that wholesomely took the time to teach him portraits, without a doubt brought good tidings his way! So many people come and go (whether they're present for 5 minutes 30 days or 3 years) .....one thing for sure, it doesn't take 30 or 50 years for you to realize exactly what quality of tidings that they bring.

"Why would you do that?" I heard it as a translation problem. We might say "I can't believe you would do this for a stranger! Why would you do this for me?!" Like being blown away.🤷 I follow a German artist that makes every one of her videos twice...one in German and one in English....and she often struggles with finding the English word for something she said in German....and sometimes she uses an English word that sounds offensive in English...and feels so bad about that...just like you felt when Kim told you what she thought you meant with your comment about the number of followers she had. This German gals is the most loving & tender-hearted person! Like YOU!❤ Continued success! Have a fantastic 2024! And heartfelt gratitude & positive energy to your grandmother!! SHE is the co-creator of the life you are living and the blessings you are bringing to the world!!!❤ At the risk of offending others (but I don't care...I'm not long for this world 🤭), I think this is what the old saying, "Behind every great man is a great woman" means. I'm not saying women BELONG behind men! It's more about how men that were not mothered well will have a wound only a woman can heal. You are who you are, in great part, because she made you breakfast. 😉 Btw...love your sense of humor and your laugh!

Congratulations Devon! Good to hear from you, not where you learned, I don't think that's important, but why you do what you do. And why drawing or painting, but why portraits and why people on the subway (which is different from people in the park...) I wish the interview talked more about that. Not the technique, not the fame, but the humanity of the art.
