I never understood why grown men surround musicians when they play. Most of them aren’t back there to study and learn. They’re just there to be seen lol. Funny part is, I’ve played at churches where the grown men will tell the lil boys that wanna watch that they can’t be back there when they’re the ones that really wanna study. The men just be up there taking up space makin it hot

Most of the time the people who are back behind the drummer (or any other instrument at Black American church) are usually other musicians who are studying, vibing, learning, hyping etc etc those same grown men usually have been doing that SINCE they were little kids and they are also impromptu helpers IF the drummer needs some help with something

Cj got the stamina and Chops, he has better way of controlling his energy and channeling each song for what it’s called for, stixx however is the same but more on the power house side of things, he comes off as a chopper, where else CJ u have to guess if he’ll take your head off or not
