Derek smith is the one who coined "kings move" it's a completely legal and legitimate move that gets hate due to people not being able to think critically they just repeat trendy phrases they see online. @@SovietUnionn I'd agree that his tournament resume isn't much at all and part of that though is him spending like 6-10 months a year as a soldier where he couldn't just fly around and go to any tournament he wanted. Another part is that his style isn't great for tournaments so he tried to schedule super matches or smaller tournaments instead. His actual record against different guys is still quite impressive though.

You simply got to look at the kingsmove as another tool in your arsenal. It's legal will aways be legal so you either learn to use it or learn to defeat it, plan and simple. Once you except that then you can begin to grow the amount of tools you have in your work bag. Nothing wrong with it, it's very technicall and great but every move can be beat with the proper counter. Example recently Devon slaughtered MT a kingsmover every round through proper counter defense and easily proved it can be beat and Devon uses it sometimes which makes this argument silly. That's just personal emotions getting in the way cause either you can't decode personally how to beat it or your fav armwrestler can't beat it since they don't have the complete tool set. I'm not coming at you just the silly argument about the kingsmove. It's not this magical move knowone can beat. You got your shit together you can easily beat it. Goes for anybody✌y'all

Devon and Michael are number 1 and 2 in North America only because WAL let them cheat openly. Going below parallel is a foul. Devon was way below parallel with his arm sideways sometimes against Chaffee and toddzilla.
