The DeWalt 12v Sub Compact series have taken over many of the task that I used the 20 volt in the past. If your using power tools all day you will be far less fatigued using lighter tools. Im hoping the DCF901 can be used on task Ive been previously using my DCF899.
The DCF901 is 4.5 lbs lighter than the DCF899

I recently started buying Dewalt 12 volt tools after being a long time owner of M18 Milwaukee only. The Dewalt 12 volt form factor is the best on the market, it's perfectly balanced, and scaled down in size properly. I say this because the Milwaukee M12 handle just can't compete, due to their odd battery shape.

I said the same thing until I saw these Atomics, then I returned the Hercules Ultra to HF. It takes lugs off instantly, and multiple verified 450lb breakaway tests, it does 90% of any working garage at 1/3 the weight. Average homeowner with

I agree. Longevity, reliability, and durability are the very reasons I switched to DeWalt 12 years ago. Its the only brand I didn't need to replace every year.

I just got one, I also ordered a 20v to 12v Dewalt converter so I can use my larger batteries. Hopefully it will be good.

Lug nuts on passenger cars and trucks are no match for modern, compact impact wrenches with good batteries. Things get hairy when you're dealing 18 wheelers and other heavy machinery. I had the DCF901 for a little while and it was awesome for everything I threw at it.

Have you tried the DCF900 (or 899 it replaced) those are beast. Rarely need that much power but it's nice to have when you do need it

@@Mechanical_Mind I haven't tried it, no. I only really use my impact wrench when I'm working on my car, which is infrequent. I don't work on anything that requires a high-impact torque wrench. Those are really for working on big toys where you can get away with not using a 3/4" or 1" anvil.

After making this video I added a DCF911 which is identical to DCF901 but uses a 20v battery. I like using the powerstack battery in the DCF911. Still light weight but much more power vs the 12v 2 AH

Hi all, can anyone help me with an issue I’m having with my new DCF903, it hasn’t got the power to open car wheel bolts, which really surprised me. Battery is a 5.0 and is fully charged

The dcf903 is only a 3/8" drive. You need a 1/2" drive impact. Plus it depends on how tight lug nuts are

Yes understood, but it has exactly the same power rating as the DCF901, I broke loose the wheel nuts with my bar and then thought I’d go around the nuts then with the impact just to be faster and even then it still wouldn’t break them, this thing is rated at 340Nm, this can’t be right

Hey Bob, I was just thinking yesterday that I need to do an update video on the DCF901. Its by far my favorite tool now and gets used the most daily. I still have to break out the DCF899 occasionally but the 901 does 90% of the jobs.
