What size fuse did you use? I have that exact kit from amazon, and it came with a 10a fuse. It blew right as soon as my son pressed on the peddle. so, I upped it to a 25a and it ran for about a min and then blew. Same with a 30a he got about 5mins before it blew.

Have you any issues with it running for a while then stopping. Seems to run fine when the battery is not fully charged.

No, the only issue I had was when I blew out the gears and then after I changed the gears, I kept blowing the fuse so I bypass the fuse

i cant figure this shit out.... i did exactly what you are doing and it has blown 2 boards. it works fine with its 12v battery but not an 18v. is it because i am using the remote / power steering?

Hello I was just curious I was getting ready to do this to my daughters it’s 12v trying up it to the 20v drill but will it burn up the motors or how do I keep that from happening?

It is a possibility that the motors could burn out hours blew up a gear set once and I replace them and the gear set comes with new motors. I have a video of replacing the gear set as well.

There is a company that makes a bunch of different parts and they do have a soft start that you can put in it. That is easier on the motors and the gears. The company is mltoys

Does this jeep have the parent remote control ? I just installed this battery adapter to my sons power wheel and it seemed to go faster when I controles it with the remote VS him riding it..

Mine will go forward and backwards but will not turn the motor for turning will not work with the Milwaukee battery

It is probably the control board. They are not meant for increased voltage with these drill, batteries, There is a replacement 20 V board that you can get on Amazon that will take the voltage that these batteries put out

If you have a voltmeter, check the voltage at the steer motor if everything else works, and you don’t get voltage to the motor then it is definitely the control board, if you do get voltage at the motor then it is the motor that is bad

I just cut the leads going to the battery and tapped into the wires there, just not the end leading to the battery of course 😊

Yes, it is recommended to upgrade to a 24 V circuit board, which is what I need to do to mine soon
