The DeWalt DWS715 is a 12 in. Single-Bevel Compound Miter Saw and powered by a 15 Amp motor to drive 4,000 rpm, delivering extended power and durability. It features a stainless-steel miter detent plate and cam miter lock that provide repeatable accuracy and durability with easy adjustments. DWS 715 is a really good saw, I had run thousands of miles of trim though it but there’s nothing like the DWS716 a proven work horse.

The biggest problem I have with this saw is the blade changing! What a pain! Just trying to get access to the bold that holds the blade in. I'm still fighting it! I have loosened the bolt you talk about at 7:32 and it still won't lift up to give me access! aaargh!

Yeah, I keep pondering do I really need a Miter Saw. I plan to make some furniture. I looked at the sliding variants but the main thing I want to cut is thin pieces to length possibly longer pieces, for which you would need a sled to cut on a table saw and then if the piece is a little longer even the sled might not be good enough. I decided against a sliding miter saw early on, the reason I don't want a sliding variant is that if a piece is wide enough I can run it over the table saw or use a track saw, plus the added depth you would need. I plan on making a dedicated table at a wall so I not want a more compact saw. Home Depot has this saw for 199 right now, and I know Lowes had a deal with the Stand, but not anymore.

I would think very easily. Just know what your cut angles are and measure the length very carefully.

I have an older 715 and the angles between stops has a cam lock to hood in place. This one looks like the knob screws down to snug it up instead of the push down ?

Yes, you are correct. Having a cam to lock down would be better, in my opinion
